I have on friend who cannot shut up about being a literal gay stereotype, and the other day he posted this: Translation of the last comment: "Nah. He's in an open relationship.. but it would just have been better if it was a guy and not a girl.. but but, to each his own"

Lately, I've been getting interested in science literacy/outreach and as such, I've recently followed Science Babe and Chow Babe facebook pages as they try to address misconceptions people have about things like GMOs and vaccines. (I've been considering setting up a page like this myself) One of their favorite targets is the Food Babe who goes around "teaching" people about food and health. This picture sums up the grasp of her scientific knowledge: It scares me that people listen to her and take her seriously...

tell us how you really feel! Also, I have no idea what this map is based on. My friend who shared it is quite anti-Obama, so I assumed it would be poll results from 2008 or 2012. Nope. Who's dumb(fuckistan) now? Also, nice work on forgetting Alaska and Hawaii.

I even tried to compare that to which parties held Senate control after the most recent elections. Still doesn't translate. This guy used to have a left-leaning friend (who I didn't know) that would call him out on these posts on FB by presenting completely reasonable facts/skepticism. No idea where he went, though-my friend probably deleted him
