3 of the 6 have survived which isn't terrible. And Plastique only died to play up the villainy of Eiling, who is going to be a recurring villain, so I am fine with that. I'm guessing since we are getting more actual Flash rogues from this point on that we will see a ton more survive and either be imprisoned or flee to fight another day.

Captain Cold was the only one to escape though. Explicitly, anyway. Which kinda fits him being the Flash's real main villain. (Zoom/Reverse-Flash falls into that Bizarro/Venom/Catman vein. Any hero with decent villains doesn't have the 'same powers BUT EVIL' guy be their nemesis.)

Yeah but Cold is also the first of the core Rogues to be introduced, with Heat Wave being teased. And then like Grodd and Zoom, although they are not official Rogues are probably going to be villains who recur. Plus when they inevitably introduce Mirror Master, his whole schtick is breaking out the other Rogues or 'porting them out of danger at the last second.

Errr, I also only watch one because I am a big fan of The Flash and I only have so much free time to watch TV shows. And Arrow is on its third season which means like 50 hours of catch up if I wanted to be current with both. I am pretty well versed in Flash lore and I have access to Wikipedia so I haven't been lost so far (Felicity's arrival was the one thing that would even possibly be confusing it seems like, I don't particularly care if I missed a name drop here or there).

Is it seriously that baffling to you that someone might watch one show and not another??

It might be a bit confusing since a crossover is coming up.

Yeah I'll watch both of those and then wiki the members of Arrow's team if I am confused by anything. Traditionally, good crossovers are all about promoting the other property though, so if they know what they are doing it should be pretty accessible. I am not overly worried.

If it was something like Sons of Anarchy and Gotham, then no, those shows are too different and irrelevant to one another. Flash and Arrow though, I just think it's weird to watch one and not the other. You're weird. Weirdy weirdo.

I only watch The Flash. Tried to get into Arrow when it premiered, couldn't, tried again recently because I heard it had gotten great, still couldn't make it more than a few episodes in, and I haven't had the inclination to give it a third attempt, even with the crossover on the horizon. So, ... not that weird.

Brandon Routh plays the most amazing Atom on Flash and the last episode had a stinger involving Captain Boomerang, it's a pretty awesome show.

I think I'd have preferred Barry winning the fight by punching the guy before he covered himself in metal since he must surely have been fast enough to do it. Also that when chasing that guy at the brewery he just used his super speed to go faster than normal without it standing out

My bet is on Girder's powers have some instinctual element to them. After all, Eddie shoots the guy, but only small spots on his skin appear around the points of impact, though he couldn't really know where the bullet was gonna hit. But, as the show has established, every metahuman has their limit, and in this case, that was the supersonic punch.

Edit: So I guess think less Colossus, more Senator Armstrong, in terms of how the powers work.

Caught up. drat this show is good. I hope that Grodd thing at the end of 5 wasn't all we're going to see of him for now. I mean, I know nothing about him other than he's a Meta Gorilla but just that premise is too good to let go.

Also that supersonic punch was brilliant. And the realisation that he was taking a run up. And then the whole thing.

But that stinger. I thought Joe was a goner. Glad he wasn't, he's great.

Oh, and this was a fun episode to watch the day after I watched the start of SHIELD season 2. With the guy who can turn into metal (and other stuff).

And that train rescue scene the other day was amazing. The effects on this are really impressive. And I worked out there was a familiar thing I'd seen recently but couldn't place. That scene in the latest X Men film where Quicksilver runs round all those guards and messes with them. I so want there to be a scene like that in this. A whole bunch actually.

e: Super sonic, that was the whole point

But the problem is even vs ordinary materials, when Barry punches them at super speed his hands are going to break unless he learns some rubber science technique as he did in that episode. This is why high divers have to learn to hit the water at a precise angle so they don't break their poo poo, because in a really high speed impact water behaves more like a hard surface.

I think the answer to this is going to be: 'Speed Force' almost certainly after the inevitable prison break and the need to quickly round them all up and defeat the yellow streak (who ever that turns out being).

Yeah, probably. I was halfay expecting the guy to outright shatter when Barry hit him just right but this show is neither that dark or that 'sciencey' so we get the supersonic knockout blow. :neckbeard:

There was an advance screening of the crossover, and here's a list of some of the biggest things that are going to happen/be the focus of the event.

I think the biggest non-story related one we can take away is how they're legitimately planning to keep the characters bouncing between shows, and how they're very open to the idea of more crossovers later down the line.
