praise gnu/jesus, the last thing keeping my entire country from migrating to linux on the deskopt was the lack of presets to copy windows fonts

i hate the black fade gradient applied to application icons on the gnome 3 panel. it looks like poo poo.
the panel doesn't show more than one app so why not give the icon its own space and push the app title to the side? or at least fade the whole icon uniformly?

is there any way to disable it?

he's right btw, the keming is hosed up. the hinting is also poo poo, look at the "s" in the light font used for the url.

kubuntu 15.04 is going to come with plasma 5, which looks fantastic and is pretty stable/usable now

it doesnt run very well on my 1.6GHz core 2 duo thinkpad though :(
