Huh, E.Ryu gets a pretty cool new hadoken that shoots straight up and then falls down diagonally like Akuma's air hadoken. He also gets new target combos and his EX axe kick is now a 2-bar EX that doesn't knock down and has some property that I can't parse because I don't know the Japanese terminology at all (says 中段始動 which might mean that you can special cancel out of it, or maybe not).

As far as I can tell that means an overhead you can combo off of, or an overhead to start a combo. Google translate gives me "middle starting" and videos of combos starting with overheads!

Hey ya'll the Vacation Costume Pack is finally on a bit of a sale as part of the current Steam shenanigans. If you're planning on picking it up you still might want to hold off for a few days anyway since the DLC for a game tends to get a deeper discount at the same time the game itself gets one for being a daily or flash sale or whatever. I'm not exactly expecting USF4 to be a daily sale game this time around but I guess you never know for sure!

Tried playing with different people and it was still pretty bad but I was able to at least finish an equally as lovely match with another guy. Endless private does not work fine, it barely works at all and those are the only conditions I even attempted to play the game under, I shudder to think what the gently caress happens if you try and play the game without taking the steps beforehand, probably sets your drat computer on fire.

Yeah PC USF4 endless lobby is my preferred way to play at the moment. Any network issues that exist between me and another dude on there are gonna exist on 360 as well (I get the same weird rear end lag spikes every 4th match or so between me and Buhbuhj regardless of platform) If you're having additional issues with someone that you normally have no problem playing with on a console you should both check your network and game settings. Reminder to set framerate to Fixed instead of variable and for the love of god turn off the in-game Vsync implementation.

Vsync by nature adds a minimum amount of input lag, different implementations can add more. Driver-level vsync is always most efficient so you should use it in every game.

I actually prefer just to play with vsync off and try to jack up the frame rate to 120 so that there is never any tearing on my 60hz monitor. Does this make sense?
