Both Keighley's Game Award Show and the Playstation Experience is this week, so we should be hearing more new titles/seeing more of announced titles soon:

-David Jaffe and his studio are promising a new IP action game for Sony
-Guerilla Games is almost certainly showing a trailer for something (please let the concept art for a game with mech dinosaurs and guys in inuit shaman clothes shooting guns be real, that's too insane to be just an artist's portfolio piece)
-Kojima is revealing the new Metal Gear Online
-Naughty Dog's Neil Druckman will be at the Game Awards and others from ND will be at the Playstation Experience, so maybe both an Uncharted Trilogy reveal (probably at Keighley's show to save the big gun for Sony) and Uncharted 4 first footage?

Have there been any hints about an uncharted trilogy? I haven't played any of the previous games because i've never had a playstation, but they look pretty cool and I'd like to play them on my new hardware.

God, I loved Black Flag. Obviously, the assassin part of it was the weakest, but the collectibles, upgrades, and being a pirate stuff was amazing.

Too bad Unity got rid of all of that, and Rogue is last-gen only. Do they have future pirate-centric games in the works?

The next one is apparently set in Victorian London, so you're out of luck for at least a little while longer.

So is the "emagon" supposed to be a teaser for FFVII? With the 20 years hint from the video and the 20 year anniversary reminder from the eu Twitter it seems slightly likely. Showing that FFVII was the most asked for remake could be another hint. Plus it would really be a pretty good "well kept secret" if they decided to release it before the year ended.

Some quick first impressions about Game of Thrones, from someone who has read the books a few times and watched the series:

- You'll definitely want to be familiar with the source material. There's a codex, but I can't imagine anyone coming into this blind and understanding a lot of this stuff.
- The art style doesn't really match the grittiness of the show, and it's disconcerting. I didn't feel this way about the Telltale Walking Dead games, but something just seems...off.
- Having played all of the previous Telltale stuff on a 360, the game is loving smooth. Decisions used to hitch up all the time on my 360, and here you can't even tell.
- The VA is ok, haven't run into any of the series regulars yet but it's all passable.

I like it so far, despite not really digging the art style (something I think they loving mastered with Wolf Among Us).

Edit: well, maybe not as smooth as I originally thought. And there's some weird low poly models in there as well. Maybe it's something about the way they're doing the cel shading or whatever.

I'm really enjoying the game. I think you're right that it'll be hard to follow for people who haven't watched the show or read the books, but I always feel that way about adaptions of stuff I'm already familiar with. Usually I'm surprised by people who go into these things fresh and still are able to follow things, so I'm curious to see the reaction from people who aren't familiar with the source material.

I doubt it'll be playable at PSX, but I'd bet on there being actual live gameplay at the keynote.

I'm weirdly anticipating what this new Order 1886 demo Ready at Dawn is bringing there will show us. It's pretty much the last big moment in the sun it has before release. I imagine it'll get the full on-stage demo treatment too, since it got bumped from having it at last E3 (was supposed to have eleven minutes, they ended up with five) because there was so much jostling for time between third-party dealsand the ten minutes of dead air that was Brian Michael Bendis talking about Powers, which might or might not be replicated this time around with a Vue demonstration.

Picked up NBA2k15 with the black friday deals. Graphics somehow seem worse, too vibrant so players stick out too much and weird lense flares putting spots everywhere. In NBA2k14 it looked like an actual game on the TV as you played because the colors were subdued and whatever filters they used just made it look perfect.

However, the new shot meter is pretty awesome, and overall the actual gameplay feels smoother and easier to control. Running into players doesn't seem as though you hit some solid wall, where in this they seem to find their way around blocks if they can on their own.

Diggin' it. Now they can just merge graphics of 2k14 and the gameplay of 2k15 into 2k16 and it would be cool.

Oh god, I've falling into their sportsball trap.

BOSS BATTLES DID NOTHING WRONG
Finished the first episode of GoT. I really enjoyed it, especially toward the end once things started heating up.

The game basically remixes story elements from the show, and some of the new characters feel a little like stand-ins for the main cast (the girl at King's Landing is pretty much Sansa), but I actually like that approach because it makes it feel familiar and "Game of Thronesy" without getting too tied down by the main plot. They can take familiar story elements in different directions. I'm really looking forward to episode two :)

I finished episode 1 of Game of Thrones. It's faithful to the show and requires that you make some very hard choices that will impact the rest of the episodes. It's good, and the choices give an sense of urgency and careful consideration even though there is a timer, making the whole thing intense. The game uses main and side characters from the show that play to the strengths and gameplay of the game.

Anyone know how Oddworld holds up? I was interested in it but the price was too hefty and it seemed to be mostly ignored at release. At $18 it's tempting. I loved it back when it came out on PSX.
