I've seen mentions of some audio announcement from some Islamist group that claims to be 400 strong and that calls Grozniy "Dzhokhar". They also claim that about 100 of them already have come out of forest (down from mountains) and that about 30 are already in Grozniy. Then there is short ramble about exterminating murtads that asks people to (I think) pray for them and that with help of Allah they will shed their blood.

There was a suicide bombing in Grozny on Oct 5th this year. Islamic extremists and terrorists have been active in Chechnya, Dagestan, and Ingushetia pretty much since the end of the war. Remember the bus bombings right before the Olympics and the big hooha it created about safety during the games? It doesn't get reported in the West very much because I guess "Russia, victim of islamic terrorism" and "Putin is THE NEW HITLER" don't go together very well.
