There have been 45 min. of great ideas diluted with 4 hours of forgettable tedium. At least last year was consistently awful and full of memorable missteps and missed opportunities. Freak Show is a shell of an idea that was never even developed to begin with. Well we had Twisty. For a while.

I don't care if it is a low bar. I expected this season to be worse than Coven after how bad Coven was. It wasn't. Therefore, I'm happy. Wish it would have been a lot better, but Ryan Murphy continues to be Ryan Murphy.

This is my first AHS and really my first Ryan Murphy thing, but I'm actually still enjoying this. I guess because I don't have the other seasons to compare it to. And hey, if the first two are better, when I get to watching them, there's nowhere to go but up!

Like, I do recognize that this show has faults. A lot of them. And even being new to Ryan Murphy, I understand exactly what you mean by this being him Ryan Murphying all over. But then it gives us moments like Dandy's Rorschach test and it makes me smile.
