At the risk of The Arsetralian showing MH17 victims, in colour, on the front page and people being lax in dipping their headlights seem also to be recent unwelcome inovations. Also a reporter literally picking through the luggage of victims at a crash site on camera

Everyone is looking for something to die for, and it's always something that isn't worthwhile. I wouldn't die for the nbn, but what makes someone willing to die in a race war? A lot of methed up hillbillies are ranting on about their definable right to do something that shouldn't be that big of a deal. I refer to the speculation on the after effects of the situation in Sydney. Not much time has passed but it sounds like everyone wishes they were going back to the bad old days of Howard, what with the gun control and the bigotry. Looking for something to die for. Times have changed. While you can draw parallels all day between now and then things are new this time round. I alsi find little concern for the likes of Pauline Hanson and the RTF are relics. Dinosaurs. We have real Queenslanders in Parliament. Katter and Palmer have currently neutralised that market. People felt more at ease with the PM talking to them on breakfast television every morning. The skeeze of closed doors on the news bulletin is putting normal people on edge, That void gets filled with everything else on the gossip networks and nothing gets you angrier than hearing what someone else said about you. A scurrilous piece of gossip is an easy petard.

Opposition leader Bryan Green saves Risso's dolphin at Cooee beach By MARK ACHESON Dec. 16, 2014, 11 a.m. SAVIOUR of marine mammals, opposition leader Bryan Green saved a Risso's dolphin on Cooee beach this morning. It's very rare to find the species in Tasmania, experts say. Mr Green initially thought the stranded dolphin was a whale, but on further inspection found it to be otherwise. He was walking along the Cooee beach about 7am today. He pulled the dolphin into deeper water with each wave that hit the shore. By himself, Mr Green had to tug the mammal by its tail before turning it around. He watched it swim off east towards Table Cape. Wildlife biologist Kris Carlyon said there was a sudden pulse of Risso's dolphin beachings in Tasmania, which was very rare.
