Hellbunny posted:No, Nemi is the worst. I have no idea why goons like her. Some Nemis are okay, some fail to make a joke, some are terrible in some undescribable way and then there is a few that really hit the mark. I used to really hate Nemi when I saw a lot of mediocre or terrible ones but lately have seen more high quality ones so my stance has mellowed. Like this: The cheesecake boyfriend is quite annoying (as are the blonde bimbos who listen to anything other than goth rock in the strip), and I hate the prehensile hairdo's. But the strip itself is extremely effective and understandable across all cultural barriers. At least it's made by an actual young lady (well she was young when it started - Lisa Myhre is born in 1975) rather than a middle aged gentleman. Just imagine Nemi by B. McEldowney or G. Evans, ugh...

Haha Nemi is insecure and is threatened by someone more endowed than herself. Nemi treats that dude like crap. She is completely uncompromising. It's always about what she wants. He'd be better off with the Blonde. I bet she would watch a war movie with him.

You can frequently see the boxes around things where they've been pasted in. I assume they're pasted in digitally, rather than being made up by hand and then scanned, but you never know. But hey, it's a coherent and vaguely topical joke!

Dustin He keeps eating all those cookies and milk, duh. Then there's the entire rest of the year where he just sits around reading lists. Your pedantry cost you a free drink Dustin. Steve Kelley passed up on a prime opportunity to poo poo on Dustin for being unemployed? That orange pond scum sweater last month was way worse. You should've worn that one instead. Store bought fruit cake. Gross. Can't say I remember any girl in my high school ever doing this. Way to break the doctor-patient confidentiality doc Phantom microphone in panel 2. I'm tired and cranky and headachey today. This is what you get. Also, there is a Luann Bonus going on this week. Yaaaay. I think Greg and Karen posted a whole week of these throwback Luanns at once, but I'll wait and post the rest of these one at a time. Just because I'm in a crummy mood doesn't mean I want to hurt anybody.
