My friends are trying to drag me into playing this game. So naturally, I ask my friends for advice, then say "gently caress that" and go read here, because they tend to not know what they're talking about. These "Steam Packs" are on sale or something for 50% off. Are these good deals? I'm not dropping $50 on this game, but y'know, I probably wouldn't mind throwing $10 or -maybe- $20. I am still downloading this game on my out-in-the-boonies 1.5mbps connection, so uh, once I create an account, I'll link it here to join the guild thing. Also there's a Tenno Santa? I got to play with my shiny new Vauban a bit last night thanks to Tenno Santa. Holy poo poo, throwing people into a giant writhing dudepile and then hitting that pile until it turns into a collection of meat chunks and power ups is hilarious. Thanks again, SaffronKit. What's the best way of levelling a new warframe? My shiny new santa delivered Mesa is feeling really squishy, and going through crappy level 5 earth missions for a third of a rank every time sucks, but I can't yet slot most of my mods, so it falls apart and makes me want to go back to my Mag every time I go into higher level content.

Either get carried by a goon to Kiste or Cerberus or join a pub or group if you have them unlocked, even if the mission fails you'll have gained so much xp during the mission it won't matter, completion bonus obviously is good too.

Do this new stupid event, it gives lots of xp. I went in with a rating 260 all crap setup and people were bailing on me when they saw me. Bah it isnt that hard! edit, I said 260 rating to show how easy the event is. I don't let others carry me, my super quanta and me naked is enough to explode the whole planet. Bring your newbie frame with level 30 weapons to a Neptune-Yursa mission. They're <5 minute level 30+ cash runs on a really fast defense node. Get about 20k each run and a decent amount of xp. Once you hit 10 and have some efficiency mods you can become True Mesa and make the runs even faster. Bonus if you have a speednova buddy. Ceres - Kiste is also a good choice, plus you can stock up on some orokin cells.

Honestly, you get so much exp from the tactical alert that you won't have to run it very much to get to level 10, and once you hit level 10, you won't be dead weight at all, no matter what your other weapons are. Peacemaker is that good.

Even without having our frames leveled yet we can handle that place pretty well through suspending dudes in the air while we shoot the poo poo out of them. They are just xp pinatas if they don't get to do knockdowns and light people on fire.

The event is stupid easy if you have a Nova (slow version, of course). And just bring a half modded Boltor Prime or Marelok and some energy restores and you're set. I ran my Nova and my wife ran her Excalibur and we just hit 4 every 10-15 seconds. In fact, for me at least, the hardest part of the mission is getting to the consoles and getting to the exit since there you are coptering and sliding to go fast and whoops there's a Grineer heavy who slammed the floor now you're on your back getting shot at. Or you get unlucky and get stunlocked by 2 sped-up Rollers in a corner.

DE expected people in clans of our size to have a hundred players on at a time and so we'd be done farming that in a week or two, not... years. It's why we try to drop people from the clan when they've been inactive for so long - you kind of drag people down indirectly by not logging on and not contributing.

The problem is that we are expected to drop what we're doing and farm a specific rare item. An item that a normal active player only comes across once every couple of months. Even at personal expense and inconvenience, as running corpus invasions sometimes means passing up lucrative rewards. I'm an active player and have put exactly 0 effort towards acquiring those colors. Because gently caress farming poo poo that does not benefit me or anyone I care for, in game or otherwise. Dojo decorating has always been a hobby for a small sample of clan members, the rest don't give a flying gently caress. Weapon research? Yes. Dojo colors? I have been marked by Zanuka Hunter for MONTHs and he's not shown up once in that time. Granted, I'm not the most active player — I play in the evenings when I've got time. But still. 1,000 is a frankly ridiculous amount for something that is dropped one at a time by a boss that shows up randomly and rarely.

My Rhino finally finished building yesterday. Once I have him leveled, he'll definitely be my go-to for soloing Exterminate, Spy, Deception and Sabotage nodes. Maybe Capture, depending on whether I can bring down the targets fast enough for his low speed to not matter. I'll still need to wait until I have a Frost to be able to solo Defense missions, I think, and damned if I know what to do about Interception beyond hoping I don't have to solo any. Trying to finish the Limbo Theorem quest is kind of bullshit at the moment. So many missions that are a bitch and a half to solo, so few people playing them. And still need to tag along with some folks to the Mutalist Survival mission. Currently have a Volt, Zephyr, Mirage, Banshee and Nova Prime at 30, although I'm still leveling mods and haven't gotten some big ones yet (Flow, Intensify, etc.).
