When Dusty gets out/retires he should sell his services as a consultant or something to act as a PS for Navy folk that's actually worth a drat. Help people route paperwork and chits etc. Seriously I would have paid good money for the right answer on crap without getting dicked around by the PS's and Chiefs all speculating poo poo. And trying to navigate Google and all those NAVADMINs etc -edit just tell me how to cheat the system and make siblings dependents to cash in on BAH like the dude I knew who had his two younger sisters as dependents because he was an e-3 and got all that BAH money and family sep pay. I've seen a lot of parents as dependents (Filipinos lol) but only saw that once Nostalgia4Dogges fucked around with this message at 09:08 on Dec 21, 2014 |

Props for cheating the system but also gently caress them. Edit: justice4trayvawn: I think that was what was coming but Robot Chicken decided that was a good time to "change" channel. I've seen similar happen with "what's up dude," to a Noble and the aftermath... let's just say it isn't pretty. germskr fucked around with this message at 11:51 on Dec 21, 2014 |

When I PCS'd a while ago I remember the lady was threatening me "don't go throw concrete in there! They know to check for that and you can get court martialed!" I think I had to sign something saying I wouldn't too. But I remember people still talking about it and doing it up until very recently so hey!

Last time I PCS'd I had to weigh when I left empty and then full when I arrived. Pretty sure that's how the instruction is written, do they not make people do that though?

I ditty moved from North Carolina to California this last PCS and I weighed the truck full before I left and then weighed it empty in California right before I fueled it up and turned it back in. I don't know how much a tank of gas weighs but 24' Penske trucks hold a poo poo ton of fuel. I too have heard all kinds of horror stories about people hiding concrete in their goods and somehow getting slammed for cheating the system. The few dollars you might earn was never worth the risk for me I guess.

If they Navy handles SPM/DITY like USAF/USCG then it's plenty easy to scam. A couple years ago though they changed the calculations probably to cut down on the number of people scamming it. Or at least to cut down the amount of money involved.

Still haven't figured out what stress cards are but everyone sure has heard of them! "Yeah they started using them in _____" Which is usually couple years after they went to boot camp Hell in boot camp everyone was talking about how the AF like totally has them. And they can have phones

Answered some basic questions because no recruiter has any information about CTIs and it's usually drastically wrong (i.e. YOU SIT AT FOB U TRANSLATE ALL DAY OK). A CTR contract tried to get in on my meet and greet and i told him to gently caress off because ~~~radars~~~

So many people that wanted to get on a plane back home or just take a taxi when i told them they cant change their job.

Merry Christmas. I'll never forget my first Xmas as the noble on duty, going to the police station at 3am to see the chief who beat the hell out of his wife then trying to help her find a battered women's shelter. If you're working or deployed, do your best to enjoy the day and remember how much family can suck too . If you're home with family and hating it, think about the assholes deployment... Grass is always greener right? (unless you're out, then enjoy enjoy your school /work break and get shitfaced for the next 6 days)
