friend, I will help: people who flood the gym seasonally typically do not know what they are doing, and do it loudly and in other people's way. so now you're waiting to get at the stuff you want to use and also someone is screaming on the floor. this is a disagreeable situation to be in.

If you went to the store to buy some XXXL husky pants and the store was jammed wall-to-wall with people who couldn't figure out why the pants did not fit their upper torso properly and were trying to pay by swiping their credit cards through the male cashier's generous cleave, you would probably be upset at having all of these people keeping you from getting your pants. I can't believe this needs to be explained to you.

I'm a big guy just trying to go to the gym to get more fit but... these people flat out using equipment wrong irks me. Majorly because it's reckless, dangerous and probably not giving the results you're looking for. Because I'm big, I'm lumped in by fit people into the same category as these people that are hurting themselves. I'm still learning a lot of how to work out and what to do but... there's procedures and "right ways" to do things. *shrugs*

They should do ten minutes of research. They aren't wasting time because they are fat, they are wasting time because they're going to injure themselves and they also don't have a purpose to their workout so they tend to lag on the machines and stand in the middle of the room with a blank look on their face.

Which explains why gym people were asking everyone who didn't agree how fat they were? I get being annoyed at things like the people in those pictures. I just like the irony of the gym folk insulting them for being fat right after saying they should stay out of the gym.

Honestly I haven't seen that many fatty fat fats at the gym doing stupid things. It's always just your garden variety doofuses who read some one weird trick and people hogging the bench while texting. Mostly no one at the gym cares if you're fat. At least you're there trying to accomplish something. It's the sudden wave of competing with weirdos for the equipment who are using it in a variety of creative ways and it's annoying.

Replace "gym" with "video games" and "new years resolutioners" with "casuals" and we could be on the Blizzard forums. Edit for content:

Actually this was part of the reason I really liked the first comic (where the /fit/ guy doesn't talk to anyone) as opposed to the second and third ones (where stdh.txt happens between him and some fat person). The first one encapsulates the pure horror of seeing people dangerously and idiotically misusing the equipment. Especially the Smith rack. First-timers loving LOVE the Smith rack. The second and third ones are a little too triumpant.

Then I realized it was for squats and squats without spotters, which happens to me often. I'm more comfortable with machines like such ever since i almost strangled myself with a bar/free weights in High School after my spotter went off to the other side of the weight room without my knowledge while I was doing inclined bench.
