 They did say what the Omega Boost is. It's doing the energy ball boost they've been doing next to walls except midjump instead of on the ground, which is a lot harder.

I never played this game but I can still generally follow what is going on because I'm not a complete idiot.

Its a platformer. They use tricks with physics and weapons to advance. They abuse respawns to get all collectibles without slowing down. Pretty simple.
