We had a very active Squid Girl thread when the show was running, it died down after it ended. There was one dude who would only post when new chapters were scanned/translated but he eventually stopped that too. Or the scans stopped. Or the manga ended? I have no idea actually. poo poo, I need to catch up on Squid Girl manga.

I think Zorak made a wise call on those. i agree that incest stuff is bad and should be laughed out or even banned, among other really weird topics, but theres also stuff that gets judged too harshly, like just recently the kancolle thread. the show only had one episode so far, but compared to animes that get discussed quite often like the mongatari series, which i find really dang weird and also features incest, its extremely tame (i am fully aware that the ships lose more clothing the more they get damaged, which also gets shown slightly in the anime, but thats something that is and should be completely ignorable to people who are already used to anime so far as long as they dont go overboard with it, which is not an intended ship pun). it deserves a chance imo but its also okay and understandable to not have a ver high opinion of it i actually mean this as a real post

Also in the previous ADTRW climate you would get in trouble for thinking the incredible hooters of Faye Valentine and the sweet rear end of Revy, or hell, even the supple curves of Cutie Honey and Fujiko were good, but if you clearly wanted to gently caress a young child but you never explicitly said "drat, that young child is making me horny as hell" in the Little Sisters Sinful Adolescence Season 2 Thread and instead talked about the gorgeous character design and brilliant political subtext when little sister has sex with the huge Russian man, that was okay.

Except Zorak probated people all the time for making jokes he disliked, or for making fun of weirdos who posted 500 word essays on Kill La Kill fascism, or for having a sig that was outside whatever the 2004 proscribed regulation was. Meanwhile he dragged his feet on disallowing people to post about Loli Stripper: The Anime or discussing the deep plots present in I mean yeah, he did claim to encourage more funny threads, but actively fostered a culture hostile to taking risks or stepping out of line. There's a reason the second he let everyone know "I'm out" more activity than ever before popped up in this forum.
