I went to the dump the other day and somebody had thrown out this perfectly good Mercedes-Benz! Not sure what the story is there, it was at the local metal recycling plant. Bad phone photo, but you shouldn't make a habit of taking photos at such a place. Usually complete-ish cars don't end up there unless they're worthless, already stripped or there's a "must be crushed" salvage marker on it - the latter usually because somebody died in there. I'm going to guess this is the case here. Eerie, but you just know somebody will be having those wheels off it first. Dead man's shoes.

This article turned out to be terribly wrong: http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/2014/10/housekeeping-clickbait-wish-fulfillment-ford-gt/ quote:It all adds up to pretty flimsy evidence that a new GT is in the works. [...] And according to our numerous sources inside the Blue Oval and its suppliers, this story is worth less than Zimbabwean currency. [...] Another publication suggested that perhaps a super secret skunkworks team is hard at work on the car, but even this is little more than the stuff of car guy fantasy. [...] Our sources are the people involved in these functions, and they were able to confirm that this program does not exist anywhere within Ford [...] What’s truly insidious is the fact that countless outlets outlets blindly regurgitated the item without making even the slightest attempt to verify its accuracy – or even worse, slyly admit that it was basically nonsense, but still run with it anyways. Of course, he wove in and out of lanes, tailgating everyone, for the entire three mile stretch I was forced to share the road with him. This meant he had a very healthy two car lead on me by the end of our time together, up from his one car lead.
