Whoa whoa whoa. I think this got missed in all the Latuff chat, but is Foden actually coming out against universal elementary education of all things? I don't know how else to read it, it's almost AGC because there aren't jobs for graduates when they finish...but he has those free like he thinks no one else realizes that taxes pay for schools. Like, is that the solution? If we make kindergarteners sell handjobs to put themselves through class then jobs galore will o'erflow the land? Russian WWI cartoons. Russia naturally stands for Truth, Justice, and the Orthodox way. The allies turn to Mother Russia for guidance. The Ottoman empire is a midget. "A talk on the outskirts of Tzarigrad" which really lets you know where the Russian empire was coming from. The peoples of the world bury the Turk. (I'm not sure how much of a tradition of Turks / Ottomans being the big bad enemies of every Christian is still in Western consciousness... maybe a bit, following Byron's death and the struggle for Greek independence? But it was very much a thing in Russia and the local areas. Having several inconclusive wars over the previous century probably did not help) "Onto Russia! Go on Abdul my-boy, that's what you're paid for." Kaiser William is the cruel conqueror-wannabe that we'll trash soundly. "Want to be Napoleon? We can do that" "An enemy to all of Mankind" The new Austrian recruits. Franz Yosef cannot sleep, and dreams of extending Austria into the Balkans. "The European thieves" The fat lady of Germany.

Let's look at some classic Ramirez, eh? 1 BEHOLD THE PROTOWORM. It's so strange seeing Obama almost look vaguely human. 2 3 4 We can see the wormification in progress. 5 But I thought cutting entitlements was a good thing!? 6 Ramirez had to stop doing this after getting a cease and desist from Stantis. 7 8 Ahmadinejad gave a speech at a college once. You may remember it if only for the "We have no gay people in Iran." line. Which...resulted in Ahmadinejad being made a laughingstock by most of the world. So basically this cartoon is oppositeofreality.jpg 9 He's crying because he's in a Ramirez cartoon. 10

Obama is a good rhetorician with strong domestic policies only offset by an unpleasant willingness to proliferate the useless foreign wars of his immediate predecessor, an Animal Nuz cartoon.

Canberra Times' David Pope: The current government made plans to cut the rebate to doctors through Medicare (the card for which is shown as a boogie board) by twenty bucks. After both the medical and general community made it clear that this was hosed, the plan was abandoned, and Health Minister Sussan Ley's job is now falling on swords all over the media for the scheme. Pope also seems to be going all Steve Bell and keeps depicting Abbot as a bluebottle.
