The Melty Blood did not disappoint. As a H-VSion main I laughed when Pat said every character in this game has an amazing DP. Also, it's a pity Woolie didn't explain/didn't know about Reverse Beat, because it's one of the cooler things about the game. You can cancel strong normals into weak, safe normals! On block! It's bullshit! (It's awesome) MB is fun.

It's not a bad place to start if you can't help it, but it's best to play the other games first. The recaps can tell you stuff, but all they'll really do is spoil the other games if you ever intend to play them. I played 4 first because it was the most convenient one to get, and I regret it. Although if you go through with playing 4 first anyway, I can't really fault you, because Yakuza 2 is hard to get. They really need to give us 1 & 2 HD already so that starting the series from the beginning can be a more viable option.

I feel like Pat's doujin game comment and complaints about roster variety give the impression that Woolie and Liam didn't explain to Matt and him that this franchise wasn't originally a fighting game. I don't like it when Pat/Liam get into talking about something and just start mindlessly thumbing through dialogue boxes/not paying attention at all to the game, it happened a lot during Barkley as well. They missed some of Booster's fantastic super goony dialogue, among other things like on Marrymore Hill, Liam started talking to Pat and kinda just meandered down to the lower path and stuck there. I'm fine with them missing the crown, I don't know what sort of TV they were playing it on so it might not've been incredibly apparent to them. Got the "best" result though. edit: Ruggington posted:

The jaunty version of Green Greens the Best Friends usually use is the one from Kirby's Epic Yarn, specifically. I'm not sure where the metal covers for the new Machinima intro and the podcast intro come from though; I'd guess they're fan covers.

Oh man Magfest video ruled until it got to Woolie's showoff corner. Either A) He got a Kirby amiibo and didn't want to admit it because of his huge hateboner for Kirby or B) He takes his friend with him as a travel companion. If it's B then the video is saved though. Also did Liam get anything or was it deemed Too Anime For Youtube.

I mean, he even says "let's try that again", and there are easily better places to cut seamlessly (when the batting prompt appears for example), but I can see how it comes off that way. I had a feeling Ubisoft didn't really care much. Thanks for the info Matt. I'm sure a bunch of Youtube commenters probably mentioned it by now but you can still train with Thunder Ryu's blue, transparent ghost. It's pretty neat. And if we're going with the whole sexuality theory, Bad Girl kinda sounds like an allusion to prostitution, what with the "It's just a job" comment and all.
