This is just so surreal. I cannot believe what I am seeing. The ALP could potentially govern outright.

Politics have gotten so volatile. While it's funny as gently caress I can't help but wonder if we're heading toward some sort of serious crisis in the next few political cycles to come.

People probably wouldn't give the ABC such a hard time about left wing bias if they didn't have such enormous poo poo eating grins on their faces as they watched the LNP crash and burn.

Alternately it means the majors aren't actually responding to the issues important to the electorate so the polls swing back and forth. An abandoned centre leaves the path wide open for fascist style types to gain support. Thus far we've been lucky and just had bumpkins and millionaire buffoons try to edge in. If we had a real serious demagogue show up we could be in trouble.

This is simply unbelievable. It must surely be unprecedented for a first-term Government to face such a monumental and near universal swing like this. It's stunning. With the massive majority last time around and the ALP reduced to a maxi-taxi of MPs, all Newman had to do was not piss off everyone and keep uttering phrases like 'fiixing Labor's mess' and they'd probably have been in for 2-3 terms. They absolute blew a once-in-a-century majority and frittered it away in 36 months. Bravo, idiots! If the Socceroos and Labor win tonight this will be the greatest day EVER.

I guess, after a FULL MINUTES extra thought, entrenched voters probably vote for more intelligent long term reasons than swing voters who would actually change their voting based on the Sir Prince thing (for example)

Well at the moment seems like there are two katter party members in, which is probably a bit of a question mark, and one independent, Peter Wellington, who I know nothing about other then he backed Beatties goverment back in the day. Looking like labor can probably win the 45 seats in their own right, but if they can get the independent and katter support as will would mean if its close the goverment won't be one by-election away from changing at all times, so that would probably be good.
