The Japanese K-1 people just announced they're going to be holding a 70kg GP this year with the same 4 Japanese 4 foreigners one night format, but also that they're holding a child fighting tournament in August. Please get new broadcast partners

That's a pretty cool fight. It's really nice to see good kickboxing fights from people other than the 15 names I already know facing off with each other in endless recombination. I really liked Tiger Shorts guy's style throughout the event, even though he ultimately lost.

Agreedo. I'd only ever seen him lose a title fight in It's Showtime before and never really paid attention, but now I don't want to miss any of his fights. K-1 posted the high quality video for anyone who hasn't seen it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4eE1P4l1Cgg Also, the rich Arab guy who pays Badr Hari billions of dollars to sabotage his plaything kickboxing events is going after Saki and Ghita. The rumour is that there'll be a 4 man tournament on April 16th with Hari, Saki, and Ghita, but their matchmaking is always hosed up and stupid so I'd put money on it being a lovely 4 man with people who shouldn't be there and separate superfights with people who shouldn't be there so the big names won't fight each other. Also, Glory are trying to stop Ghita from taking a fight there even though he's not under contract (or is he? I don't know)

I remember that brief window of hope I had for kickboxing when glory was airing quality events in a reasonable time frame like two years ago.

yeah and the article I read about the CBS deal is they're on a 1 week delay. So it's cool, but it sounds like the Spike broadcasts are still going to be their focus for the US market.
