I always pictured Brienne as ripped, but where do you get a bodybuilder who can act? So they just hide Gwendoline Christie under a bunch of armor, and it works just fine.

I like her alright, I think she looks fine. I wasn't enthusiastic with her acting in S2, but I like her now.

Women who lift don't look ripped unless they're on shitloads of steroids and even then it's nearly impossible to end up looking like that. In the books Brienne has got to be XXY or something.

So according to the s5 wiki page grrm isn't doing an episode this year And apparently lena headey had a double for her shamewalk so iunno what everyone is getting all excited about

Her double was probably for the inevitable full frontal but far away shot which I can see her wanting one for, she didn't seem to care about showing less in other stuff she's done so the people who are excited (?) will still get tits probably. The shamewalk to me wasn't even so much about her nudity as it was being shaven and being fat, book wise I was imagining her as looking like Show Varys by that point. Don't think he's resigned himself to it at all, he's had a few comments about the show stopping and doing prequel / other in-universe stuff and D&D have been 'uhhh no' about it. He's written a few episodes because he's been involved in TV writing for ages. Midnight City fucked around with this message at 16:26 on Feb 2, 2015 |

Alternatively, there are sites out there that have naked women on them. There's even a Game of Thrones XXX movie, some of the scenes of which I made a transcript of in a post for this thread but couldn't bring myself to post. Also there is of course a sex scene with Sansa, which is pretty creepy considering the source material has her as a teenager...

Having sex with sexually mature teenagers is actually pretty far down the list of hosed up things that happen in the game of thrones universe.

Something I'm really looking forward to is Slint being beheaded. Funny thing, in Game of Thrones, Sansa says to herself that she "hopes a hero cuts his head off", Welp!

It was originally going to be much dumber. Jon was going to hang him... from the top of the wall with a hundred foot long rope. quote:Slynt freaks, yelling, struggling, kicking as they throw him into the cage and start lifting. 'I have friends, if Tywin Lannister were alive you would never...' His voice fades away as he is lifted to the top. The rope they found was a hundred feet long but the wall is seven hundred feet tall. They hear his neck crack as he hits the end of the rope. From a public reading in 2008.

Only after a 5 minute speech that Jon gives about how he must do it himself as his lord father, Ser Eddard Stark of Winterfell would have done, who he Ser Janos Slynt formerly of the King's Landing city watch betrayed, with the sword bequeathed to him from Ser Jeor Mormont, father of Ser Jorah... At that point he'll just stop and wink at the camera because 90% of the show watchers still haven't figured out that was Jorah's dad. If we wanted to be extra realistic I'd work in a way in which Ghost would somehow get trapped first.

I would prefer that speech to Tyrion's speech about beetles being squashed and how they must have felt about it.

Hear his neck crack? You'd think a ten story drop stopped by your neck would just pull your head off. GRRM isn't that bright eh?

Yeah, decapitations from hanging weren't that uncommon with just a 10' drop. Hangmen had a formula they used based on body weight to know how long to make the drop so that it broke the neck but didn't tear the head off, and still it happened sometimes. Slynt would have lost his head for sure after a 100' drop.

Which is you know, what grrm changed it. It's also pretty baller how Stannis watches it happen and nods in agreement to Jon doing so. The Stannis and Jon exhcnages are some of the best in the books. Stannis is cracking jokes on the regular and it's awesome. Just finished my third read of the series and I'm about 60% of the way through world of ice and fire. gently caress it's a dry tome and at times really very tedious. Most of the history of the houses tend to follow the same formula. This guy from this house killed these dudes, then the andals killed them, then they killed each other and some other dudes from accross the river, then the dragons came and now this person is in charge. I get what they were going for but it looks like grrm has given the westeros crew a boiler plate and told them to fill in the blanks. The illustrations are cool but I kind of wish I had my money back. In terms of adaption it looks like they're keeping Davos at the wall, I'm guessing to take the place of some of milesandres advice and some of the household knights outrage over certain things. My guess would be he gets sent to last hearth on Stannis' orders and Jon's advice and gets the wex / rickon story that way.
