Last time I saw an Interventor on the table, I shot it.

... But it was a relatively new player, so uh yeah not a gimme plan. Here's one way to fit in a hacker, though I'm not exactly thrilled at neutering the Magisters' CCWs to do it.

code:
Combat Group #1

TEUTONIC KNIGHT Spitfire	2	37
TEUTONIC KNIGHT Lieutenant	1	34
TEUTONIC KNIGHT Combi 0	34
ORDER SERGEANT TO 0	27
ORDER SERGEANT TO 0	27
MAGISTER KNIGHT DACCW 0	24
MAGISTER KNIGHT 0	23
MAGISTER KNIGHT 0	23
Fusilier Combi 0	10
Fusilier Combi 0	10

Combat Group #2

ORDER SERGEANT TOSniper	1.5	33
Fusilier Hacker 0.5	18
It seemed more prudent to just rely on TO Sergeants as specialists rather than pay for an HI specialist. Teutons for board control and ranged sweeping, Magisters for forward sweeping and tarpit control (seriously, those fuckers are hilariously hard to kill), and hidden specialists for finishing out the mission. Oh, and the TO Sniper that I always bring in every single list ever because why wouldn't you bring a TO Sniper for 33 points?

Nah, hacking is a lot more open ended than N2 so you actually want to bring them, but they're not mandatory. Depends on how your meta is shaped really. My meta is Nomad/info war heavy, so I bring them but I also like bringing REMs in my lists, so it gives me some more incentive.

Speaking of lists. I'm taking these two Tuesday to play around, with the PanO list being our bye round list for the wooden spoon gunner to play against for that round on Thursday.

code:
Bakunin JC

Rev Custodier Lt
Riot Grrl/SF
Riot Grr/BS
Riot Grrl/MRFL
Daktari/1x Zondbot
Zero/FO
Zero/FO
Chimera/2x Pupnik
Stempler Zond
Lunokhod/CK

250pts|2.5 SWC
&

code:
PanO

Fusilier Lt
Fusilier/Hacker
Trauma-Doc/1x Palbot
Machinist
Nisse MSR
Guarda de Assalto/SF
Croc Man/FO
Croc Man/BS
Pathfinder Dronbot
Sierra Dronbot
249pts|5 SWC
I think I can spend the last few points a bit better in the PanO list but I'm not really sure on how. Thoughts?

Why are you playing a Trauma-Doc?

Maybe I'm just spoiled with Haqq, but seriously. Speaking as someone who avoided playing WIP 14 doctors in N2, a Trauma-Doc is not what I'd call efficient.

It's basically a Fusilier Specialist that has doctor over paramedic, I can also re-roll them on key models with command tokens. The Trauma Doc isn't the best but it isn't so bad it isn't worth taking, even with its meme legend status.

I am curious on changing the Riot Grrl MRFL into a second Spitfire. I lose the Zondbot on the change but I get another Pupnik out of it, that's tempting.

They sort of are but for different reasons. In N2 they were required because if your opponent had one and you didn't you were hosed because you had no defenses against hacking. Now everyone gets a "dodge" so you don't have to have a defensive hacking bubble.

However, now hackers do so much stuff that you want to bring one to do the stuff they let you do, but you don't have to have one just as a defensive measure anymore (mostly because they don't work like that anymore)

Anyone here got much experience with/against Rev Superior Kusanagi? I've never actually seen her on the table nor thought of using her. Just trying to suss out her profile, the +1 SWC as Lt doesn't seem too bad.

Bring shock for her NWI, flame her some for that ODD and be wary of her E/M Grenades.

Crusader with Lft+Multi is what i'd proscribe, though not sure what army you are taking.
I have usually just harrassed her over first and second turn if possible, if not; I usually bait 4-2 things I don't want to fight onto a flank, and then disengage.

e> As for playing with her, I think she addresses in one way or another just about everyone's complaints about Moiras. Only problem I see is she tries to address all of them, and gets pricey.
As a PanO chump I look at it and go, That is some awesome inefficiency right thar.

Thanks for the clarification on the typo guys. I love the Unidrons but I really wish Combined had more access to another cheap HD besides the Morat Vanguard. I want to run those sweet sweet support softwares. I know it's silly ramping up for the EI sectoral when the next book has not been announced yet but it's the big reason I started Combined in the first place.

Also the new paint scheme for CA has really grown on me. Painting metallics, blacks, and reds is really fun. How big is a Charontids? I noticed they are silhouette 5 which is the same as the Sogorat.

Sorry I meant the FAQ which will eventually be an errata. That's my bad.

Basically the order from the CB website went up this morning and they sold out within 20 minutes, during which the website itself locked out due to traffic. I know we sold ours (FSG) within an hour and I only got mine by them keeping a pre-order aside for me until I got in to pay for it.

tldr people are complaining that they didn't get on the earlier orders and waited for CBs last minute pre-order and then missed out by the traffic stalling out the website.

Not a clue on the size but the new CA style does look really good, it's a far cry from what the range used to look like, but then you can say that about most resculpts now. The games come a long way in the last few years. :)

As far as hackers, I don't know much about CA but you've got some baller profiles which are also hackers but they're also super expensive, I'm not sure what the cheapest hacker is (is it the Morat Vanguard) if you're just looking for a straight hacker like a Fusilier or Alguacil or something.

E: Here comes a rules question actually from my end, because most Greandes don't have the Targetless trait, you need to have direct LOF to the target in order to throw them at the target without paying the Spec Fire penalty, correct? So I can't skim the grenade out of LOF so the target is in the template, he has to actually be the target in the middle of the template?

I doubt it. They have not given any indication of re-doing any of the sectoral starters and they had a new sculpt come out a few months ago with the same aesthetic as their other troops. Of course it could have been the last sculpt in the "old style" and we have yet to see the new Shasvasti stuff but I doubt it. I picked up the Malignos Hacker a few days ago and it's held up extremely well sculpt wise I think, the old Morat stuff in comparison did not age well at all and benefited greatly from the new art direction.

I want a new Rasyat and Yaogat sculpts so drat bad.
