We were also about to trade lowry for Teague and a draft pick last season. I was unhappy with it at the time, but in hindsight....

quote:

There’s good reason to expect that Love will start shooting better. However Love’s shooting isn’t the most interesting part of his struggles, but how Love is used in the Cavaliers offense. Love’s elbow touches have fallen from 11.6, second-highest in the league only behind Marc Gasol in 2013-14, to 3.2 per game in 2014-15. That ranks Love 65th and just behind Udonis Haslem. Love’s assists have halved from 4.4 a game to 2.3. According to VantageSports.com, Love ranks 70th among 160 big men in Offensive Activity Rate (number of significant actions per offensive chance), while players like Tim Duncan, LaMarcus Aldridge, Blake Griffin and Marc Gasol are in the top-10.

Love isn’t a third option like Chris Bosh, since the bulk of his contributions come on the offensive end. Surprisingly, even though Love’s catch-and-shoot efficiency has gone up from 34.4 to 41.0 percent, he is taking more shots off multiple dribbles. 17.6 percent of Love’s field goal attempts have come after two or more dribbles, up from 12.3 percent last season. This points to the fact that Love is either shooting immediately, or isolating on one side while everyone else watches. Love shouldn’t have to feel like he needs to take a either take a shot immediately or try and pound the ball in the post every time he touches the ball because he won’t get it back.

The answer isn’t as simple as just getting Love the ball at the high post more often. And part of the conversation criticizing David Blatt on how he’s been using Love should also take into account that Rick Adelman’s corner offense in Minnesota was perfect for Love. But Love should be given the opportunity to be more active in the offense and not just stand in the corner. Nowitzki can be the most impactful player player on the court without taking a shot for ten minutes just by pulling the defense in his direction. And when given the chance Love is that player too.

Dude tried to hire an $80 hooker off of backpage.com. What the heck is that? That's definitely a law enforcement sting operation website.

Backpage is a legitimate site. I have escort friends who use it. Still, it's better to know someone who knows someone than to trust the world wide web.

Not exactly the Bucks actually signed Teague to a contract but Atlanta matched. The funny thing is no one was sure that Atlanta would match as supposedly Ferry did not like Teague. The Bucks would have released their rights to Jennings if they had gotten Teague.

The Bucks ended up trading Jennings for Knight and Middleton which is pretty nice. Middleton has been awesome in 2015.

I'm feeling so conflicted about the Sixers right now. On the one hand, the young guys are gaining valuable experience and probably (hopefully) forming the basis of an actual decent team in the future. On the other, I'm starting to worry that their draft position will be hurt if they keep competing so hard. While I doubt they'll win a playoff spot, I'd still prefer a top 3 pick over say, a 9th pick. With the way half the bottom feeders are looking these days, things are almost as tight as the Western conference playoff race.

You should relax and try to enjoy it. The lottery is weighted so that the field will usually beat the worst team for the first pick. Hoping for bad play and then for a lottery draw to pay off to justify that bad play is setting yourself up for heartbreak.

There's not a whole lot of difference between being last or third to last. I don't think they'll get much higher than that. And the positive effects of seeing their effort result in improvement are probably going to be more important than a few percentage points on the lottery.

All days are nights to see till I see thee; and nights bright days when dreams do show me thee.

I've watched a ton of Love and this is pretty close to what I've noticed. The Wolves would often have Love lay a pick, and then drift out to the 3, move to the high post, or roll. It was a triple threat that was great with Rubio because of his penetration (notsomuch finishing), you'd think you can do that with Lebron or Kyrie, but I hardly see it at all anymore.

While the Corner offense is perfect for Love, he played well under Rambis and Flip too.

I think since they have Houston's pick they should just bite the bullet and give up the draft pick now. Getting the fifth pick this year then giving up the fourth pick next year seems like it would be really bad. Although getting the fifth pick this year, the third pick next year, and screwing Orlando out of their pick for Dwight would be funny.
