I might of actually played Mech Warrior 3 before Quake or SM64 now that I think of it. Or tried to anyway. I definitely read the crap out of the manual even years after ward.

I went looking for a replacement copy of Blast Corps today and found out how much N64 nostalgia has skyrocketed. None of the retro stores had any systems in stock and what few games they had were crap ones. The prices for Rareware games has gone up greatly, even the B and C tier n64 exclusives are more expensive. Harvest moon 64 was 99 bucks.

I think the first one I played that didn't fake anything with pre-rendered or 2d characters, etc was probably Wing Commander 2. Counting those shortcuts it was probably Daggerfall or Hexen, I forget which was first.

Probably Mario Kart 64 at a mates. Donkey Kong 64 was the first one I owned and I was sorta enamoured by how the camera controlled (like panning, fixed camera, etc) and how real it all sorta looked. The introduction to that game is all sorts of amazing visually and the Game Over is also quite good.
