Wrestling Observer posted:

While not yet announced, there are talks that the pro wrestling debut of Wanderlei Silva will be on the 2/20 IGF show at the Tokyo Dome City Hall, which is the Antonio Inoki 72nd birthday show. Silva is likely facing Phil Baroni, who has been training for pro wrestling, as noted in last week’s issue, in Las Vegas under Michael Modest. Baroni is scheduled to debut on the show.

Silva we haven’t heard confirmed, and there is the aspect of his UFC contract. UFC allowed Josh Barnett to do IGF and Silva is probably never fighting for them again. But there is the bad blood between the two sides in the sense I can also see UFC not wanting to do him any favors, but since they can’t use him anyway, there’s no point in keeping him from making money doing a pro wrestling match in Japan. I don’t know what Silva knows about pro wrestling, but Baroni was a childhood fan who has talked about doing it for years.

Frontrow Brian was the first to report on a Baroni match. There was an incident years ago, stemming I think from a Mark Coleman vs. Shogun Rua fight which saw both corners empty and nearly go at it with Baroni and Silva squaring off, so that would be the “grudge” aspect the fight is being sold on.

The California State Athletic Commission today said onetime UFC and WSOF welterweight title challenger Jon Fitch (26-7-1) was flagged for an “adverse result” following a pre-fight drug test in connection with this past December’s WSOF 16.

The CSAC, which oversaw the Dec. 13 event at McClellan Conference Center in Sacramento, Calif., performed a CIR test on Fitch’s urine sample and confirmed the result. The commission declined to name the substance for which he was flagged. However, multiple sources close to the fighter indicated the test found elevated levels of testosterone.

Pornographer interviews/Honest Q+A/exposé pieces are always extremely fascinating reads, for all the reasons you'd expect. Unless you expect them to be sexy, and then you're probably going to be disappointed, but I'd definitely recommending reading if you stumble across those kinds of things on your daily browsing.
