He actually doesn't matter about that. The sin is running non-free software on your computer. It's unfortunate if the grocery store uses non-free software for their PoS terminal, but that's their sin, not his.

So, visiting this website, he doesn't care what software is running on the backend, since he's not running proprietary software. The exception to this, of course, is if you are required to run non-free JavaScript delivered by the website in order to use it. This website degrades fine without non-free JavaScript, so it's acceptable.

if you do the control sequence ~C in an ssh session it brings up a menu you can use to forward ports

and if you use ~# it shows all your forwarded ports
