Spam his C3, or C4, I forget which. It's the one where he body slams the hammer into the ground. When you do that, it spawns a very long and wide projectile from the hammer that clears out keeps and destroy WPG very swiftly.

That's how you get tinnitus

Also make sure you have fire+ on your weapon, so the enemies sent flying by that attack explode harder when they hit the ground and gently caress up even more enemies beyond the range of the attack.

Two Imprisoned show up in one of the "Defeat X amount of enemies before the other team" maps that you pretty much just ignore:

G6 - 2x Imprisoned, Wizzro, Ghirahim, Volga, Lizalfos, Dinolfos vs. 3x Dark Fi

There's also an Imprisoned in a "Defeat All Enemies" map:

F5 - Stalmaster + 2x Shield Moblin, Impa + Sheik, Imprisoned + Ghirahim + mini Imprisoned

I can't think of any other examples though.

That's still too many Imprisoned. Programming that thing into a game should be a punishable offense.

Just did one of the Giant missions as Agitha, mostly went well until King Dodongo came out. It wasn't that he was hard, he just had some much health that I had to do around 7 weakpoint smashes before he went down.

And I'm going to need to A-rank that if I want the 8-bit Great Fairy :suicide:

Yeah, that happened to me in that forest mission where you have to escort the cucco chick and then fight a Dodongo after beating up Ruto. I was a level 70something Great Sky Fairy and it took waaaay too many weakpoint smashes to kill him. I figured I was just underleved for the Termina map since I know a lot of people in the thread were saying the Twilight Princess one requires higher levels, so maybe Termina assumes you're an even higher level, but maybe they're just really really tanky Dodongos for some reason?

Possibly, but I know that before I even try and A-rank that one I'm gonna build up a weapon with Special Attack+, Weakpoint Smash+, and whatever skill gives me extra damage against KD.

Yeah I tried to get Darunia's 8-Bit weapon and it took forever to take down that King Dodongo. The same thing happened when I got the giant's mask in the swamp, it took like 7 or 8 weak point smashes to take down that Gohma. I mean granted my Ruto is only level 80 but that's still a lot.

So learned that in the rupee contest missions, collecting a rupee fairy gives you the same effect as having the Rupee Festival potion. I never knew that because until now I'd always use that potion on those stages.

Woah I had no idea! Does it wear off or last for the whole mission? If it wears off I think I'd still use the potion anyway since I always have so much of the most common crafting items to blow anyway.

Yeah the Rupee Fairy only lasts for a minute or two, not sure of the exact time limit but it does wear off. The potion is definitely better since it lasts the whole stage. I was hoping maybe the potion and Rupee Fairy would stack, but as I said a couple of days ago, they don't, so there's no real point in going after the Rupee Fairies if you use the potion. Except to deny the rogue forces the morale boost I guess.

I've been using rupee potions on basically every mission since the DLC came out. I never thought all those bronze materials I collected out of habit would come in handy but now I have so many that I'll basically never run out. I have like 250+ of almost every bronze material still.

I heard that you don't have to go out of your way to pick up material and weapon drops from downed enemies, that they automatically get collected at the end of the level. Is that true?

Also, how do you pronounce "cucco," "moblin," "Cia," and "Fi"?

Yes. There might be a limit to the amount of items that get autocollected, but even if there is it's high enough that you'll only be losing out on the generic trash materials. Cia and Fi get namedropped by the narrator in Legend Mode, FYI.

Any consensus on this game being 'fun if you like dynasty warriors' or just plain fun?

I never got into Dynasty Warriors and never had a high opinion of it. I'm also not a huge Zelda fan, really only having beaten Link's Awakening. I've sunk dozens if not hundreds of hours into this game.

I really liked Dynasty Warriors 3 and 7, which I 100%ed. This game feels like the mindless surge of fun of those games combined with the polish and direction of a Nintendo game. The only problems I'm having with it are fighting the big bosses, one or two really awful stage songs, not being able to block out of a running animation, way less enemies spawning in co-op, and not being able to play split-screen instead of one person using the pro controller/TV and the other being forced to use the game pad.

That might seem like a lot, but they're all nitpicks beside the first complaint. I play this nearly every day with my friend, and we either turn our brains off and just bash away stuff for materials or actively work together to get A ranks and unlocks in adventure mode.

If you've never played a Dynasty Warriors game, try this. Dynasty Warriors gets poo poo on a lot for being repetitive or uninventive, but a lot of people love them despite that. Hyrule Warriors is the most polished and fully-realized out of any Warriors game, and I hope they apply the lessons learned here to the rest of the series.

It depends.

Only mission I really had issues with after that on the original map was Lana's level 3 gate, but I eventually just forged a guard break potion and beat it no issue.

That's in the realm of the easier maps for the DLC though :unsmigghh:

Also, is there anywhere that has a comprehensive list of what you need to do for the adventure mode map squares that have hidden enemies? Most of the guides out there I've seen only bother unless there's also a treasure to search for on that square, which is really annoying.

I don't know where you are in the game, but if you have access to Twilight Map B8, the team up mission there can have you fight Fi and Cia. They will both summon 2 Gohmas if you let them. If you can manage it, that mission should give you at least 4 silver drops, probably more. Just don't use the materials potion or you'll get mostly golds.

I'll rip out your optics!
There's a really easy double Gohma mission on the regular adventure map; it's Lana-only, not sure of the square. I can 1-cycle both of them at like level 70, it takes about 3 minutes, actually loading times and menu screens are really the only thing that slows it down.
