Bury Your Dead and Hatebreed are synonymous with weightlifting. Enter Shikari is synonymous with crocheting tea cozies.

drat. No Nyc/LI date and no Philly date where a friend of mine lives. Bummer. The Ghost Inside is loving snorecore though so whatever. New Xibalba album is heavy like you would expect it to be. Nothing really game changing or new, though. The new Harm's Way track pretty much sounds like a better version of every Xibalba track.

Dug up a hidden gem in my iTunes from like 2005 or so. A Black Rose Burial - spastic, techy, grindy deathcore that may or may not do anything for you guys today but this is a jam I ripped constantly back in the day. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8o0IPUZaiqk e: there's a porn sound clip at 2:02 which might make you want to listen to it more but also just a warning to anyone who might be blasting breakdowns at work but might get into some poo poo for porn audio. The breakdown leading up to it (and repeated a bit after it) is killer. ShoogaSlim fucked around with this message at 05:50 on Feb 11, 2015 |

So Adam D won the whole show on Price is Right yesterday, he got a Honda Fit, a Nissan Frontier and some other stuff. It was fun as hell to watch him, check it on YouTube. Love KSE, love Adam D. Time to go blast some Killswitch riffs while wearing short shorts, brb.

I was really into Misha's soundcloud stuff while he was trying to get periphery off the ground and I thought periphery 1 was pretty underwhelming, cuz the mix wasn't great and I had heard all the interesting bits without spencer's vocals (i really don't like his singing) already. Periphery II wasn't much of an improvement as far as catching my interest but the mix was a million times better. I guess I'll check out Juggernaut. I was really hyped at one point for periphery back when they had the first singer that they released a version of Icarus Lives with vocals on but he turned out to be a dick and got kicked out or something.

Spencer did a fantastic impersonation of a lovely vocalist on Periphery I, a decent impersonation of Rody Walker on Periphery II, and a great one on Juggernaut.

Periphery II is seriously a great album from front to back. I really didn't care for I at all and II blew me away. Probably one of the biggest leaps I've had from "meh, don't really care for this band" to "Holy poo poo, this owns". Alpha/Omega is really good also. Bad news for It Dies Today fans; they're postponing their work on the new album indefinitely because of REAL LIFE getting in the way: http://www.theprp.com/2015/02/13/news/dies-today-scrap-plans-new-album/

The new All that Remains is surprisingly not terrible. It's no Fall of Ideals, but it's certainly way better than A War You Cannot Win.

Despite the stupid title, TRUE-KVLT-METAL is actually a really great track. Song by song the album is kind of hit or miss, but overall it's certainly way better than I expected. Their last album I listened to once and never again cause it was so bad, but this release really shocked me.

I listened to No Knock and Tru-Kvlt-Metal on YouTube and you're wrong. e: TKM in particular sounds like a song Avenged Sevenfold would have produced after their initial heavy stage when they were decent. Although I don't know that for a fact because I've never actually listened to any A7X stuff when I heard they went soft cockjock rock. It's just what I imagine all this poo poo sounds like. It's bad.
