That is definitely the meanest thing I've seen on twitter in a long while. Insults of various types are par for the course, it takes a special type of rear end in a top hat to make a fake account to prank people in broad twitter daylight and give them hope that their former bosses want them to come back. It's no tweeting about a bomb on a flight causing flights to be delayed, but it's up there.

Yeah, we hear people like Booker T always putting over how titles mean more money, I can get behind a guy who plays up that he's on the road 300 days of the year to provide for the children he barely gets to see, and he'll do whatever he has to do to build a better life for his kids than he had. I mean, that's the end game proper promo, on the way just put over every body he leaves in his wake as another month of college for his kids or whatever. Hopefully WWE could do this in a more nuanced way than him having a picture of his kids that he brings out to every match, though they love involving family at ringside (RIP Cenadad) and this would be a good way to get them involved. Super easy to turn him face too, someone talks smack about his family or threatens them, and now he's murdering people as what is basically Liam from Taken. It's also got a bit of what Stone Cold had going for him: Everyone can relate to wanting to kick the crap out of your boss, but quite a few other people (both fathers and mothers) can relate to being driven to provide for their families. I like how the Owens/Zayn finish was almost immediately followed by Ascension being DQed for kicking too much rear end versus Reigns and Bryan on Smackdown.

Owens didn't break any rules, he just kept on beating on Sami who wouldn't stay down and had to be ruled Technically Knocked Out for his own good at the referee's discretion. Also there was no title on the line (for the Ascension, anyway). It really was a completely different situation.

It you watch it, the ref obviously had made his decision to stop the match/award Owens the win after he conferred with the doctors, then went to call the bell when Owens moved toward Zayn, delaying the result.

It's almost like it was planned that way! Also after Sami falls and hits his head on the steel flooring and the commentators start playing up how dazed he seems, the cameraman starts lurching and wobbling the shot when he focuses on Sami outside the ring to emphasise how out of it Sami is. Not sure if I should think that's smart direction or a little cheesy as a camera effect (probably both).
