Some people interpret it as Biker winning, but Jacket only going into a coma when he gets his head smashed in. That's why all the trippy poo poo happens for a while, and why he imagines his head blowing up before waking up in the hospital.

Yeah while Jacket/Biker's head gets turned into complete paste when they lose the fight Hotline Miami is not exactly a game with a reliable, stable narrarator. Also Beard comments that "Something really bad happened tonight..." if you talk to him in the bar after Neighbours.

But then, the way it's presented from Jacket's perspective makes it seem like an easy win for Jacket...

I've read mujltiple guides about getting A+ rankings, but I seem to be doing something wrong, maybe. I'm not sure. For example in Decedance my highest score is an A. I've tried using the bigger combo mask, using Carl and drilling everyone then I saw a youtube video with a Rooster only run getting an A+ and I don't seem to be doing anything hugely different. I read somewhere that mixing up kills helps, so I lashed on the Octopus mask to get more melee weapons but still, the highest I've gotten is an A. When I get home I'm also going to see if I can find like, a guide that will tell me what score to aim for so I can just restart a mission without having to quit out after the score screen too. That got annoying after 10 runs.

Exposure adds quite a bit to your score - killing people without them seeing you gets you less points than butchering a horde of russians all running towards you. I think your best bet is chaining long combos with melee weapons, though, which means you want the Frog mask. I did a run a while back where I went through each floor of each level in unbroken melee chains, except where basically forced to use guns. It's surprisingly doable, you just need to plan your route and realise that if you need to extend your combo you can throw your weapon to add another hit and reset the timeout. Route the level, and be sure to have at least a russian to kill every 4 seconds. I think you can get up to a 12x in that level, and if you get it that's almost a guaranteed A+. Be fast, be brutal. Except after escaping the hospital Jacket returns to his apartment, which is a crime scene down to the chalk outline in the bathroom. It'd be really weird for him to have a premonition of the future like that, and head trauma can be nasty without putting you straight into a coma.
