The characterization for Ra's has really been spot on; not a megalomaniac obsessed with retaining his youth, but merely a man who's lived for a really long time and seen some poo poo. Sounded like a disappointed dad in that scene I feel

Oliver is basically the only person in the show who is reacting to this entire mess incorrectly. Malcolm Merlyn deserves to die in horrible agony. Literally no one but Oliver disputes this. Thea was used as a murder-puppet by the guy. Somehow, I don't think him dying far away by someone else's hand is going to affect her too much.

Not to mention that Barrowman barely counts as a dad. Sure they had some quality time in Corso Maltese but everything else has been lovely and lasted all of a few months
