One of the games I like to play when I see a profoundly stupid cartoon is to try and figure out where the cartoonist is A: an idiot, B: a dick, C: ignorant, or D: a shill. Each type produces subtly different cartoons. Idiot. Gobbles up the party line, refuses any data that goes against it. True believers. Dick. More interested in tweaking the nose of those they disagree with than promoting their own agenda or appearing factual. Ignorant. Low-information political cartoonist, may not eagerly seek out information from select sources like the Idiot but will still often pass on misinformation. Shill. Knows better, but makes cartoons with bad opinions because it's a moneymaker. There's combinations of the two, of course. Branco is both an idiot and a shill, for instance. Or, in this case, is our hat. I'm watching you Canada.

Western media has had a tendency to only talk about ISIS victims when they're Christian, which fuels a perception among a lot of people that ISIS is exclusively targetting Christians, or at the very least non-Muslims. (Which is actually pretty beneficial to ISIS and another instance of Western media, especially conservative media, buying fully into the message their enemies want them to buy into.)

Yeah, Priggee can definitely be, ahem, a bit of a prig. Your example coulda been better though. Also, I'm not sure about your classification of Ramirez up there. Given his (and IBD in general's) established role as mouthpiece for the money wing of the Republican Party, I think he fits the "shill" category better. He's just not quite as blatant about it as Payne and Branco. I think someone like Lester or the McCoys would fit your idiot category a little better.
