think I'm going to stop trying to A+ every level in 1 now. I'm just too old to react quick enough and that's fine. Two weeks until I can be just fine at 2!

Somehow the only achievements I'm missing are kill two enemies with one thrown object, kill three enemies with one thrown object, and perform every ground kill in the game. And the one for having all the achievements, I guess.

On behalf of the Payday 2 goons I thank you all for allowing our dumb event to succeed. I wasn't that good at the first game, but I'm going to give it and the sequel a try once it comes out.

The ground kill one is kind of killer because it counts frying pans and boiling pots of water which are only found in a couple of specific levels. I think it might also count a pool cue and a broken pool cue as two separate ground kills but maybe not? As for the throw one there's a hallway in one of the levels where there's a bunch of goons lined up, you just need to pick up a brick beforehand and get the shot just right.

Well the extra skill tree wasn't affected by infamy anyway, so if there's only a couple trees you use you could probably stop at II or III also stop being a bad and let goons level your punkass up

The frying pan/heated frying pan and boiling pot of water/empty pot of water are separate as well. Also if you've never used Carl, that's a special kill too.

They're really starting to shift towards feature creep, there are just too many loving perk decks now and they're all mostly identical. And they seem to introduce new characters every month to the point where the novelty's gone, not to mention all the nickel-and-dime weapons, masks and heists DLCs. The cross-promotion stuff is pretty cool though. I like Faux Keanu Reeves and the Hotline Miami content, and I can't wait for the Jacket character.

Hakkesshu posted:The special edition just comes with a remix EP and not the actual soundtrack? Worthless! That is incorrect. Bricks, glass bottles, scissors, carpenter hammers and I think darts have ground kills too. Lasher posted:think I'm going to stop trying to A+ every level in 1 now. I'm just too old to react quick enough and that's fine. It's not that hard to A+. Easiest way is to use Leon and try to swap weapons periodically. If you do that and don't dawdle you'll get A+ easily. What levels in particular are you having trouble with? Biker's stages are slightly harder, but here's a quick rundown: In Safehouse, kill the first two guys down from where you start, then run up along the north wall and kill the guy with a gun by the table. If you come in from a lower angle he'll have enough time to shoot you. Kill the other guy at the table, then lock onto the guy behind the counter and throw a knife at him, then melee the guy in between you and him. Next, lock on to the gunman in the larger dining area and throw a knife at him. Then you can throw a knife at the guy whose patrolling in the last area and melee the closer two dudes. Bam, should take 10-20 seconds. For Fun & Games, enter the right door and knock the guy down. Kill the enemies that aggro onto you, then execute the guy on the ground. Run down the left corridor with the arcade cabinets and kill the wandering dude if you can, but don't stop until you get into the little closet in the top right with a guy inside, who you kill (duh). Doing so should have a melee and gun enemy aggroed onto you, so you can turn on them as they get close and kill them both. The last guy is in the topright of the map but he's a lone melee guy and easy to handle. The second floor is the hard part. First you need to kill the shotgun guy then make a beeline to the far side of the arcade machine in the corridor which is sorta shaped like [. There's a few gunmen and dogs patrolling. Poke your head out for a second so they aggro then whip back into the corner by the arcade machine. There's also going to be a few melee guys who come in from the long corridor that's in the left of the level, but they're easy. Next, run down through the corridor to the room with the two gunmen. Kill them, then head back up to the top left room with three guys. You need to time it right or you won't melee fast enough to kill all three guys without dying. Make sure to execute the patrolling guy if you hit him with the door. Lastly, go to the right room with two gunmen in it. You can either poke your head out and lure them back (which is risky for score runs because your combo might time out) or throw knives at them (you might as well for the bonus and you don't really need your knives for anywhere else). e: I know I've played too much of this game because I have every map memorized and can give walkthroughs without needing to consult the floor layouts. When you're assaulting the police station you're better off taking the frog mask and just never stop shooting cops.

Has anyone else experienced issues running this game on Windows 8? Every now and then the game will randomly crash, usually in large rooms with automatic gunfire. It's not too constant, but it's kind of a bummer when I'm destroying my way through mobsters and it crashes on the last room of guys.

For some reason it seems like the steam store page doesn't specify the difference between the deluxe edition and the regular one. I assume it's just the soundtrack? Not that that's a bad thing I mean, Hotline Miami is the one game where getting the soundtrack in a convenient download is actually worth a bunch of dollars.
