You should buy it so that the DLC weapons are added to your potential weapon drops. You shouldn't play the DLC until after you near the end of the main story because the DLC maps are kind of brutal.

Pretty hard to get A ranks with Ganon when part of being a huge monster is not seeing tiny but buffed officers pecking away at you. Dunno what the exact damage thresholds for ranks are, but I got like 20000 damage in one mission and still got silver for it.

King Dodongo beats Argorok, Argorok beats Manhandla, Manhandla beats Gohma and Gohma beats King Dodongo. You just have to hit them with the correct boss power and they reveal their weak spot, no waiting for certain attacks required. The Imprisoned is still a dick and has no weak point and drops no boss power, but you can easily stun-lock him to death with the basic weak combo, same as the other giant bosses.

Strong is throwing the thing at the beginning and end, and then is that just C2 over and over in between? The drops didn't seem increased like in the Twilight and Termina maps, but one of Ganon's mission types involves beating a dozen giant monsters at a time, so there's that.

God I have no idea how you're supposed to kill 9999 mobs with Ganon and get an A rank for Cia's costume when the whole map is filled with stalmasters and darknuts doing 4k damage blade throws. Edit: Got it on the third try. Did the same thing I did on the second try but focused even less on actually fighting anything that wasn't a mook and spent the entire time just doing three normal attacks into his charge. Yeah, it's Strong Attack, dodge forward into four reps of C2, dodge away into Strong Attack again. Impa Naginata and Volga can both pretty much chain YXYXYX repeatedly like that, which is why it looks like one continuous string.

It looks like the DLC is going out on a whimper, but I don't regret my bundle purchase because the three other packs are awesome.

Sometimes I had several successes an hour and sometimes I had no successes in multiple hours.
