Mister Adequate posted:He could read a line that silly and give it all the meaning and gravitas which our transmissions from Sputnik deserved Honestly, he brought such grace and enthusiasm to everything he did on Trek and beyond, even when he knew the material probably wasn't worth it. He was such a pro, through and through. Rest in peace, Leonard. You're already missed.

None of the rest would have been possible without you.

The first article I ever got paid for and published was about the songs he released as Spock, including his terrible song 'Highly Illogical'. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ru9e2rTHeuk Now I am a full time journalist, and I owe it all to Leonard Nimoy's music career. I never got the chance to thank him

Like I mentioned a few posts ago--Time to listen to all his albums on repeat today. Here's a track I used to listen to as a kid whenever I felt lovely: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nuDmNWwzaus

And we're well on our way to the inevitable "Into Darkness'" argument that's going to end in at least one Probie due to people not being able to respect the dead for more than two hours before launching into specious bullshit about Trek. Yes, I know I'm part of the problem here.

Well, drat. I hadn't watched the original series, and mostly still haven't, but it was watching Star Trek III, with my Dad, that got me into the franchise. Rest well, you magnificent green blooded beast.

^^^ Great pic sequence there. They reconvene in that great big conference room on Deck 8 in the sky. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AGF5ROpjRAU I think he would want us to remember him like this as well, from my personal recollections of him at many cons he was always warm, funny, and towards the end (especially in the TOS movies) a bit of a rogue too. He always had some funny anecdote (usually involving the cast or the fans) to rattle off. If you saw the Comedy Central Roast of William Shatner he has this great bit where he tries to shrug off the Shat like that annoying brother-in-law who keeps asking you to lend him money. And.. and.. it's getting dusty in here, dammit. RIP, Leonard Nimoy.. you are already greatly missed.

Ok this made it hit home. Right now some old-school nerds from the 70s-80s are counting their deadpool and the weirdo who put down on Bill is making out like a bandit.
