What's the most fun duel deck for a beginner? I don't have any paper cards and want to try it with a friend who hasn't played before. Having usable card to start of a reject rare style cube would be a bonus too. At the moment I'm thinking of phrexia vs coalition

Honestly I think you're OK with any duel deck except that one or Knights vs Dragons, which is also unbalanced.

Otherwise, pretty fun!

Apparently a local game store has boosters for Khans that are like 3.68, instead of 4.00 or whatever. Is there any risk there of this box mapping thing i'm hearing about? If I want to buy boosters, is it safer to just get a fat pack? Don't want to spend the scratch for a full booster box, but I do want to crack some packs. I haven't been to this particular location yet but a friend of mine said the guy working there was kind of a jerk so I'm a bit suspicious.

So this is what Patrick Chapin was talking about when he said that Pro Tours are bad for Modern, but GPs and Opens are good for it. This has been a pretty great tournament so far.

Speaking of booster chat, I didn't miss out by not buying any M12 boosters at $4 a pop, right? A store in a nearby mall found a box while moving across the mall and had them for sale, but I don't think there are any chase rares in that set besides Prime Time and OG Sorin.

Girlfriend and I both grabbed a fat pack. I got a Polluted Delta and so did she. However, she also got a foil Windswept Heath. I now have four polluted deltas for this UB control I've been building after trading roommates and girlfriend.

I honestly never understood why they don't just sell small 'token packs' or something, little set packs with stuff like 'this pack has a bunch of the 1/1 commonly used tokens, this one has an assortment of animal tokens, here's just a few overlays!" Like, am I just missing where they actually do this or do they intentionally make it as annoying as possible?

I've never had trouble finding tokens I think it would be really dumb if they sold something they currently give away for free. I can understand maybe like a year ago when it was hard to track down some Wurmcoil Engine tokens or whatever, but that would happen too if they printed them for standard, eventually you'd be chasing down OOP tokens.

I just like to collect the poo poo out of token cards. I am unreasonably distressed I am missing Bitterblossom's Faerie Rouge. Or that I lack the 1/1 red elemental for Young Pyromancer. And if you tell me Marath's Elementals don't have a card I'll probably start crying.
