I REALLY like Ghost Anafenza. Maybe not in current standard, but may be a post-rotation sleeper hit.

Cernunnos posted:I think it may be in reference to the old Anafenza maybe? So far she's the only previous Khan to have Flavor Text so it's difficult to say what they were going for. Planeswalkers are almost never 4 ofs now, so it will eventually drop. Price memory is going to hold hard because of all the people buying in playsets of these at $40+ though so you might have to wait awhile.

So how likely is there to be a Monastery Mentor deck coming up after the new set?

See if you can catch what happened. During Thoughtseize, Roby put his Hero's Downfall perfectly underneath another card, keeping his opponent from seeing it and having him discard it.

I actually think Sam is going to lose to decking because I can't see him dealing 300 damage over 5 turns without Polukranos getting in. Edit: Actually Sam could bounce both G. Hydras, then replay them both as 50/50's. That might work. qbert fucked around with this message at 22:03 on Mar 7, 2015 |

From like fifteen pages back, but is Silumgar's Command the first time wizards have printed a spell that interacts with your opponent's lands in ages? (not counting lovely overcosted land destruction) card seems real good to me, seems to almost always represent a 2-for-1

They're going to ban Mastery of the Unseen for the same reason they banned Eggs, 5 extra turns that take 30 minutes.

(not counting lovely overcosted land destruction) Sure, but the only non-conditional mode, land bouncing, is probably going to be mostly irrelevant a lot of the time (in long games), making it more of a 1.5 or 1 for 1 in those situations. It's also fairly expensive. But I'd think it's powerful and versatile enough to see play. (Of course, I don't really know what I'm talking about)

(Of course, I don't really know what I'm talking about) I think bounce a land is important because you'll almost always be able to use it - all the other modes can be turned off, and you have to choose two. Without that mode, a planeswalker on an empty board and empty stack would be able to dodge Silumgar's command. Devor fucked around with this message at 22:17 on Mar 7, 2015 |
