air made sense in the sense that it was a lightweight version then the ipad air came out, in which case air was meaningless, it was more of a new iteration, and it replaced the old one. it wasnt lightweight,. it was just lighter and thinner but performance wise better. not what we had come to expect from the air brand and then, they had gotten rid of the macbook, and now release a lightweightr less powerful version of the air, but called macbook. so now air doesnt mean lightweight in the macbook range at all, it means middle. and nothing means less, and pro means more cant wait for mac pro to disappear completely and then get replaced later on with mac air which is a mac pro
