Also, what do you guys use to capture clouds? If I expose the landscape properly it's so easy to blow out the sky, and underexpose the landscape if the sky is properly exposed etc. Do polarizing filters, gradient ND filters etc work well, or do people usually bring along tripods to bracket shots?

mucho garcias,

I've been abusing graduated NDs and more so Lightroom to dodge and burn stuff. While shooting black and white you could apply a yellow filter (an option on some cameras) to get the clouds to pop a little more as well as play with the color channels a bit in post process.

My office is in the front room of a run-down 12 megapixel sensor but the rent suits me and the landlord doesn't ask many questions.

Danke. I have 4 more rolls of the 800, I won't make the same mistake. I was used to <5 year old TXP that I barely needed to adjust for.

Someone at Flickr thought so too, with the power of explore its had 10000 views, while the other shots in that little set have had about 150-200. No sparkly text awards yet though :smith:

Yeah I liked it too. It actually looks way better on my phone where the grain doesn't show up as much and it looks super clean.

You should. I might do the same, I just happened to be there in the day. The colors are so nice and the road you have to stand in to get the shot never has any traffic. There is a bus stop there though.

Long exposure (like 60 seconds) as a bus pulls out of the stop at night. Steaky ghost-lights look cool.
