The point of Black Highlander was pointing out that in a show set in Atlanta, there was only one black guy on at a time, and a singular other minority man, because the demographics of television kept the show white-heavy.

At this point, it's actually worse because some characters are invincible (DARYL), which is actually somehow more annoying.
