They probably think that chickens need roosters to lay eggs (I remember a tribe having a debate about that a season or two ago). A lot of Survivor contestants are from the big cities.

I just got back into Survivor and watched the episodes I missed out on from this season. Hoo boy, did Vince make my skin crawl. I'd be amazed if there was ever a creepier person on the show than him.

I didn't watch this season because I was sick of the Hantz fever. Did anything become of this? Or was it a one-off creepy moment like that dude in Cook Islands? (granted that one was at least funny)

That season was the one (of two) where he was most behaved.

I honesty don't know why he said that stuff about her. It seems pretty logical to learn how to kill an animal humanely when you're going into a game that you know you'll probably have to do exactly that in.

Joe hosed it up, I don't think Shirin would have.

Joaquin is a big baby and I'm guessing a recruit who doesn't really get or like Survivor.

Oh, is THAT why she killed a rabbit? I was actually wondering why. It seemed like a really random and weird thing for her to say/do but she's a really random and weird person it seems.

Which isn't to say that Joaquin's "she's a psycho!" response was in any way fair or normal. I'm sure there's plenty of logical reasons for killing a rabbit. I didn't give it much thought but it did seem like a weird thing to just announce to people.

But if it was literally "Do you want me to kill the animal for dinner? I actually did a prep for the game and killed a rabbit so I know how" then it actually makes complete sense and makes Joaq even more ridiculous than Shirin.
