I'll wear your hate as that would be just lovely as garlic and onion is a base for so many things. Do you crave them at the same time though?

I'm coming to terms with i'm likely lactose intolerant. Now I'm angry at my body for being lazy and suddenly deciding nah, i dont want to make that enzyme and now I have to carefully inspect food packets for "milk solids" and other allergy info that i previously scoffed at. The easy way out is just buy lactase pills and eat them, but they make them mint flavored. mint. not just what i want before a coffee. However its really rare that this happens suddenly at 30. So my Dr is sending my poo to pathology to check if i am a meat hotel for parasites like Giardia I fully expect and I'm fermenting lactose in my guts forever now. Foodow, i feel you bro. :

In hindsight I was showing symptoms for about three years before I realised and my tolerance dropped and I was able to see what was going on. The hardest part was convincing my parents that I was, in fact, allergic to something new. They didn't believe you could develop allergies later in life. It took my brother asking a doctor in front of my mother to convince her. Family lunches kinda sucked until that point "oh, you still think you are allergic...".

A lot of South Indians use it as a replacement for onion/garlic for religious reasons, it's very tasty and you could broaden out with some South Indian dishes if you want more variety in your food but can't have the base of garlic/onion. South Indian food is healthy, tasty and cheap, my second of two meals a day as a student would usually be a homemade daal.

Maybe letterboxing when an election's on? Handing out how-to-vote cards might also be an option. It's technically face-to-face interaction, but it's far easier than doorknocking since most people just walk right past without bothering to say anything to you.

Extremely potent smelling stuff that comes in a little white container, you need to keep it sealed in a ziplock bag or other air tight container otherwise the smell kind of overpowers the cupboard/draw you keep it in. Really tasty though and it does add a good unique flavour to things. Pickled Tink, just join the Greens they don't make you do anything. You might get a call when you join up and maybe get on the mailing list but they'll never push or expect anything from you. You could also do letter boxing which is fun and you won't have to interact with anybody.

I've been doing phone-banking for the Tasmanian Greens for a couple weeks and some of the things they want from volunteers could work, like doorknocking meeting place (ie volunteering your house as a place for people to meet to co-ordinate doorknocking, apparently helps a lot and you don't need to actually go out yourself), data entry, or letterboxing. They've also been on the look-out for people with artistic skills recently, not sure if that's going to be the same across all states though. I'd suggest just telling them that you want to help but don't know how you can and they'll find something for you to do pretty easily.

There, it is done. From now on, your first dog will be delivered by a member of the greens. Now when do I get my cybernetic implants to plug me into the leftist hive mind? Oh gods. I just got a call from a lady claiming to be Kylie Turner about my joining and when I mentioned my mental health as a reason I wouldn't be able to help out at this election, she suggested homeopathy as something that could help. I told her off for trying to peddle complete and utter bunkum and explained how it did not, in fact, do anything. Still, I am already regretting joining the party. gently caress.
