I kinda miss ARM6 PH16 Achilles, but to have a balanced ARM6 PH16 Achilles he'd either have to be like, 90 points or get Fury so he's forced to Leeroy Jenkins his way into danger, facetanking all the while. I've tried the current Achilles and he's not an invincible tank by any means but he can definitely tear his way through an entire enemy army if you don't try to charge down the middle.

Also, is it just me or are MULTI Rifles now really good?

Does anyone know what the actual dimensions of the N3 silhouettes are? Ive been searching the net for them and cant find any specific numbers. I see I can print the templates but I want to laser cut some, which mean I need the dimensions.

By pulling the PDF in illustrator and measuring I get

S1 25x25
S2 25x40
S3 40x32
S4 55x32
S5 40x45
S6 40x55
S7 55x67

Does this sound right?

S1 25x25 auxbots
S2 25x40 regular troopers
S3 40x32 small remotes
S4 55x32 heavy remotes

Spending SWC seems shockingly hard for vanilla CA. They're one of the ~3 factions that I've been looking at (the others being Nomads and Aleph) for our escalation league, and a lot of the good stuff doesn't actually use SWC.

It doesn't feel right to kill an unarmed man... but I'll get over it.
The SMSR is in the HS+CP weapons doc - the Guided mode is Dam 13, B1, DA, Anti-materiel, impact template (circular).

If you spend all your SWC in vanilla CA, chances are that you've got a list with 3-5 Actual Fighting Things and then however many jackasses you can afford to stand around and support them. Maaaaaybe some FOs now that they're cheaper and we've got solid profiles in the Unidron.

I've really been liking the Umbra Legate hacker in my games so far. That guy just does unbelievable amounts of work between cybermask shenanigans, buffing unidrons, murdering fools in objective rooms with his boarding shotgun, and being a specialist with a great movement split for getting poo poo done. The HRL Suryat has been surprising me lately, as well, but I've admittedly been playing against a lot of Tohaa lately. However, I'm not sure if the extra wound, PH, and defenses are worth it over the Gwailo, given that he's 17 points and .5 SWC more expensive. I've also found myself skipping my traditional smoke + MSV antics, but that's more a result of having new toys (Cheap unidrons! They keep coming up!) to play with and a desire to try new things than any overall dislike of the tactic. Doctor Worm has also been earning his weight in gold lately, last game I had him heal a Charontid from NWI to full and cap two terminals on Seize the Antennas in a single turn.

My local store is beginning an escalation league, 100 points increasing by 100 points every 3 weeks up to 300. I have no idea how to build a list for this. My factions are JSA or Aleph (including Steel Phalanx).

How does Aleph survive at 100 points? It seems if you want to take anything competent that isn't Dakini or Netrods you're spending 25+ points and have trouble going above 5-6 orders.

My first thought is that I've taken a shine to the Bolts with a sniper because they already have a lot of threat at medium and close range. I don't think you'd want to find the points in that list, though. Also, the lack of Repeaters is worrying since you have doubled up on hackers...

I approve of the Devas in NCA. I also approve of the Aquila with a Multi Rifle and he makes a tough Lt.

Remember that the Garuda can also enter from the board edge, using the lower level of AD. I usually find that is preferable, since there isn't a roll and risk of dispersion.

He is. The 6-inch careful move + Stealth is an absolutely phenomenal ability, because it means that he has the speed and firepower of a TAG, but has counters to a lot of a TAG's weaknesses due to his really good dodge and CC ability. I mean, throwing Monofilament CCW guys at Achilles is probably still going to kill him, but CC24 and MA5 mean it's not nearly as safe. I've found that he isn't as good at facerolling people anymore but you can dodge through a lot of territory without provoking AROs if you don't mind burning orders and there are very few things which enjoy a PH15 EXP CCW to the face.

Also, because the most common Fire weapons are flamethrowers, which Achilles can now dodge almost all of the time, burning his ODD off is much, much harder.

If Impetuous didn't remove Partial Cover MODs, I'd say that N3 Achilles might well be stronger than N2 Achilles.

My only real complaint is that there's no Heavy Shotgun version anymore. A cheap(er) close-range assassin version of Achilles would be fantastic for certain lists.

Since no one at all stepped up to comment, I'll give my impression: I think it looks a bit dense for a fixed board that will be having more scatter added to it.
