It's like... if you didn't like seeing an insanely sick DX vs nWo nostalgia thing for Sting's first ever Wrestlemania match, where he used his bat like a god drat lightsaber on Triple H's sledgehammer, after Triple H came out with some skull king power armor escorted by Terminators, well, I just don't get how you can watch that and respond with "meh".

Does anyone actually think the main event finish added to the match? It really took me out of it. When you have a match that intense and hard fought it sucks to have a finish like that. I'm not necessarily even criticizing them for doing it, as I can see how it makes booking sense, but it sure took the match itself down a notch for me. Are people just happy that Roman didn't win?

That's what makes the most sense. as cashing in instantly creates a match. If there is currently a match going on then you get added to said match.

I don't have any problem with it, I was just curious if it had ever been done that way before.

Sting is not having a technical masterclass in 2015 so you may as well make it entertaining. comedy matches have been part of wrestling since about a long-rear end time.

That guy you are arguing with is a idiot but there is no reason sting/hhh couldn't have a basic, solid, wrestling match that wasn't a comedy match. I think it's a waste of good atmosphere and storytelling to turn it into that. Also hogan and dx are on wwe tv all the time. Nwo was too sweet tho. also it's sting/hhh and of all the matches to be ridiculous and stupid it's fine

I think it was just the best resolution to the lovely corner they booked themselves into. Maybe it added something in terms of being unexpected.

MITB cash-ins are disruptive by nature and i think the main reason it's kind of a gently caress is that Rollins is being received like a huge babyface when he is now adding "paper champ" to his heel resume

Sting vs HHH owned but gently caress that ending. Just don't get how Sting doesn't win given the story unless it is Vince doing the "I loving beat WCW" again. It's been like 15 years.

I think it does take down the quality of the overall match just a bit (from like MOTYC to HM) because there was a very intense fight in it before a sort of deus ex finish, but booking-wise it was the best decision for all people involved

At first, I thought that it would have been better if Roman won, trolled the fans and Seth cashed in and beat him. But I'm happy the WWE decided to turn it into a three way, cause it would have been lovely to have Reigns have a champ, even if it was for a couple of minutes. Brock beating Roman clean and then losing to Seth wouldn't have done anything for Roman. At least Roman can still be part of the title hunt now, but please do us all a favour and turn him heel. He can turn the ship around, the fans just didn't want to be spoon fed a new Cena cause they already have one

I guess I would've rather seen a better match with a Reigns win than a worse match with a finish that makes more long-term sense, since a) I care more about match quality than good booking and b) I have no hope of WWE being booked well anyway and one non-terrible decision doesn't change that.

My only gripe is that Rollins should have been in the match longer. Like have Reigns kick out and have him in there for 10 minutes or so as a legit triple threat match like "oh poo poo I have made a miscalculation" before getting the win.

Yeah, see I'd rather have one match be slightly diminished if it means a more interesting angle going forward

I agree it took a great match down a notch in isolation, but it was sensible booking that kept Brock really strong, let Reigns have his best singles (until the end I guess) match ever, and enabled a heel cash in and surprise champ without making him look either stupid or weak.

Quality-wise yes it would have been better. But I liked that Rollins did two curb stomps on Lesnar and then kind of looked around like "well gently caress hes not even going to get pinned after that" before pinning reigns to steal it. it fits his character

I don't dislike the idea of Romain becoming the new top baby face as much as I did before. But the whole Rocky II tactic was just dumb. Smiling and provoking a heel works when you face a guy with a hard punch but zero stamina or if you have an ace up your sleeve, but against a monster like Brock it's suicide to take that much damage.
