they probably have a list of like 10-20 characters they're considering adding, and are polling to see what ones rate highest if you just ask everyone who they want to see the most also they're probably already working on the next two after Lucas since he seems so close to finished. we'll get mewtwo, then lucas, then #3, then #4, then Poll Influenced Character #1 through #4? im being really optimistic on the number of DLC characters though, it might just be like 4 total but doing a poll makes it seem like they want to do a decent amount

I decided on Marshall, the rhythm heaven guy.  He's pretty much "Chorus Kids" except without the plural. There's a lot of stuff to pull from the rhythm heaven games that can be used in a moveset, and if it is at all possible to make a rhythmic fighter in smash, I want to play as it. Apologies to K. Rool and Dixie.

I think Tetra would be rad because she's another character that fits in with Toon Link, another Zelda character which we've gone two games without getting a new one, and also a sassy pirate Windwaker is a cool game and I would like Tetra to be in smash bros and get an Amiibo

Including the awful clones from Melee. This is a golden opportunity to get some fresh meat in a Smash game without having to wait another six years, if even that, and they might actually want to throw it away for bad ideas that have been done and dusted. I'm okay with Lucas and all, but come on! Although I'm far more amused than I should be that Tharja actually made the list. Surprisingly she's as popular as Bayonetta.
