I'm still waiting for my Witch On the Holy Night english translation to be completed  In other news still stoked for watching Unlimited Blade Works on Sunday. edit: I just found out that the group over at Beasts Lair is working on a Hollow Ataraxia voice patch. Well, to be honest, I was hoping it would happen, but didn't expect it. Archer going to Caster was great, although I'm somewhat less enthused about Caster now seeing what she's doing to Saber. Rin and Shirou getting shoved to the side was great, although I know it won't last.

Yeah, it's pretty catchy. Probably because it was the backing track of all the PVs, and I watched those over and over again. Looks like Rin's finally made the connection with Archer's backstory and his actual identity. And those Shirou and Rin scenes were gorgeous, especially at the end there. Rin crying and the scene in the park on the rock hit me right in the feels. Also, I never noticed how tall Shirou is compared to Rin until that scene. Great reintroduction to the series. And for all those who were guessing about Caster's identity, Archer just confirmed it and we'll be seeing a lot more of her backstory next week, if the next episode preview and title are anything to go by. Wedding dress scene did not disappoint. Gifs incoming:

I don't know what's coming, but that seems like this would have been better as the last episode of season 1 than the first of season 2. Other opinions: Was it necessary to hike up the back of Saber's dress? The creepy rape implications could have been totally avoided without that. Archer is Shirou somehow, right? I feel like they're really hitting me over the head with that "twist"

At least as far as Kalafina songs go I think the ED is an improvement, even if the actual animation continues to mostly be an  stream of still images.

I was thinking that the reason those blades manifest for him is because Shirou's idealism is similar to Archer's before he became disillusioned so at the core they're kind of similar. I also think it means that Shirou has the potential to become a heroic spirit by nature of what he is.
