not dvi but I think it's neat how hdmi can actually carry ethernet over it, unfortunately no one seems to actually use this.

got two monitors on my compooter. 1 1080p cool samsung one (CONNECTED THRU DVI), and a 27" 1440p something thru displayport. pretty DOPE setup if I do say so myself. #DVIstillalive #rockin'datDVIliketheresnotomorrow

you can find dvi cables without all the pins populated, but looks like the one you bought doesn't have that probelm.

I bought a long HDMI cable last year for gaming on television through steam big picture. Can't really see myself in the market for cables unless something goes wrong with one of my current cables. Knock on wood. That's a nice DVI cable though.
