The flashbacks are a bit weird in parts, but the tone is very disquieting. The series is a take on Batman and Bedlam is meant to be a city like Gotham would be if the madness spread out of Arkham Asylum. The interior art is a lot different to the covers, but it fits that overarching mood of psychological disturbance. I'd recommend trying the first issue and seeing where you go from there.

Spidey floating in a white void while photographing people through windows isn't nearly as confusing as whatever is going on in the Emma Frost picture. Everywhere I look I see something that hurts my brain. Look at that tiny fence she's sitting on. What's holding those "panties" in place? Is Big Ben leaning?
