Base Emitter posted:analog modulars are 31 flavors of fun but god help you trying to get the same sound out of it twice in a row the electone is interesting because it's an analog synthesizer but using "advanced" digital yamaha electronics to control everything so you get some fancy features for 1975. unfortunately i don't think any of the ICs have been made in 35 years though sadly since this is a budget model you don't get the velocity-sensitive keys or programmability (in the expensive models you can remove one of the voice cards and replace it with a 'programmable' one with knobs!) but you do get an arpeggiator, a non-programmable rhythm box, and a loving ROTARY SPEAKER HOLY poo poo. they eventually formed the core of yamaha's super high-end synths when they were redesigned from 'digital organs' to 'synthesizers' in the late 70s
