soon google will just drain the bay and build an arcology

hobbesmaster
Jan 28, 2008

unfortunately traffic within the arcology will be so bad that employees will still have to sit in a bus for 2 hours to get from their office to their assigned living quarters

I can only speak for myself, but "I took on something that sounded really interesting, but it didn't work out" from a master's student/grad goes in the win column during interviewing, rather than working against you. I'd ask lots of questions about what you'd do differently or why it went poorly, but mostly because it would be an interesting line of conversation.

I have a ton of friends in Chico, CA and it's the place I've spent the most time. It's a nice little college town :3:

Also I went to college in Rochester, NY. It's a nice town full of friendly people if you don't mind the 3-5 feet of snow. They overbuilt the highway system since they massively overestimated population growth, so it has some of the lightest traffic in the country!

rochester's a great example of how the "common sense" rule that any roadway will eventually attract enough traffic to overwhelm it is bogus. nobody's gonna move to rochester to clog them roads.
