There is a more cosmic feel, regardless of the generic trailers, and that makes me at least somewhat curious (unlike the boring look of Avengers)...even if it's just part of some bullshit hope of mine to get a cool Silver Surfer story someday.

In the now non-canon EU there are like 100+ goddamn stories about who stole the original Death Star plans because it's a great way to do a sidestory that directly involves the OT but is very tangential regardless. Now they want to do an "official" version and they have literally dozens of examples from the last 30 years to draw from.

Looks ok. I don't really hate any one thing about it at all but I'm still really underwhelmed. It'll be a huge hit with kids who haven't seen the original, so that's sincerely good.

I enjoy the (likely unintentional) meta commentary about the in movie theme-park needing to up its game to keep attendance high, so they make a super-dino; kind of like the movie itself needing to up its game to keep attendance high, so they introduce a super-dino. It won't be great, but I'll check it out once I can see it in my home theater.

I wonder how many people working on that knew that it was an unauthorized biopic. Technically I don't think Disney can stop them but we're talking about a corporation that has successfully changed the way copyright law works in order to keep Mickey Mouse from going into public domain. Also funnily enough just from the trailer it looks like they aren't shying away from his smoking, which Disney completely downplayed for that Saving Mr Banks movie.

The more I see of Jurassic World the less interested I get. It feels like the Terminator Genesys trailer (though not quite so bad) in that it seems to be recycling everything from prior movies. Big, new scary Dino gets loose at the park causing havoc. kids get lost in the woods. ranger guy who understands raptors clearly the smartest dude in the room. stupid dumb people in charge. A giant birdcage and the birds get loose! Galloping gallimimus! It looks like Big new Dino is also apparently super smart and possibly leading a dino revolt? So they might be ripping off the new Planet of the Apes movies as well? I won't be surprised if the new dino kills both a T-rex and Spinosaurus. Also if she eats TWO people off a toilet.

Probably too much of the action sequence in the house but that's almost certainly only the kick-off scene of the movie, so there's a lot we haven't seen. And I still haven't got any idea what Tomorrowland actually is or how it works so it was still pretty light on plot reveals.
